Petrol pump Hi can you help me how do I remove the petrol pump I need to replace it? The cover with electrickals on I am stuck with.

The petrol pump is in the fuel tank and to gain access you lift the back seat and then the metal cover which has four screws holding it down ,the big plastic ring is unscrewed to remove the sender unit which contains the fuel pump

    no they undo the normal way ,special tool could be required if they are tight

try under back seat big rubber gromit fuel pump is in there remove pump and drain or find fuel pipes on engine and use a hand pump bubble or 12volt pump to drain

Hi,some citi golfs got a problem with there feul tank,the tank have a not return valve at the pipe going out of tank so what happens is like the car is turning or tilting the valve gets stuck and its stops petrol flow.best is to get a long screw driver to wedge it open.or if that fails it best to replace tank.hope this helps.regards conraad

Fuel Filter location on a Petrol 2004 Kia Carnival

The fuel filter is located in the fuel tank, pump removal is required to replace. There is an inspection cover behind the front seats on the floor to gain access to the pump. stupid idea. but whats not stupid about kia.

if it is the efi model yes the pump is in the tamk,
if it is a carburetted version the pump is on the engine.

Hi there, just under the rear seats is where the fuel tank sender unit is and sometimes the seal will leak out strong smell of petrol, you need to remove the rear seats and the sender unit cap and check the seal, may need replacing, hope this helps.
