I have totally replaced my speakers but start with just removing radio to ck. wires to radio and then to speakers. They are color coded with radio wire harness. Do not remove whole dashboard not needed since radios come out fairly easily. Many times speakers just cook in a hot sunny car so need replacing. If new ones don`t work then it`s not the speakers.Good luck. Joe

My 2003 Saab stock stereo works, so does the clicking sound when u signal, 3 speakers in dash panel works 2 speakers in the back works. But the 2 on the front doors aren't. Help fix

Could be either, a setting on stereo head unit, fader may have been turned so that sound is just coming from select speakers.
Or could be your front speakers are not wired up or there is a fuse blown.
Note: clicking from turn signal does not come from stereo speakers.

I have a 1991 chevy 1500 and am hooking up stereo system. But there are some wirtes loose that I dont know their place. For instance, the yellow and black one

The yellow wire from the truck attaches to the red wire of the stereo. The black wire goes to the black wire. If the truck doesn't have a black wire, connect the black wire from the stereo to a bolt on the frame of the dash. The orange wire from the truck goes to the yellow wire of the stereo. Please let me know if you have more questions.

Can you put a newer radio in a 2001 yukon

Hi, my research indicates you can install a single din aftermarket head unit in the 2001 Yukon.
A couple of good websites to use are crutchfield and modifiedlife.
Crutchfields will identify exactly what adapters are needed, and modified life has the factory wire colors.
You will need an adapter to fill the space between the aftermarket stereo and the hole left by removing the factory head unit.
You will also need an antenna plug adapter.
I recommend you buy the wire harness pigtail to simplify the installation--this may or may not include the antenna plug adapter.
If you have onstar, you will need an additional adapter.
If you have steering wheel controls, you will need another adapter to keep those.
Keep the above things in mind when selecting a new aftermarket stereo, as you will need one that is compatible with steering wheel controls and onstar, if you have either of those and want them to continue to work with the new stereo.
Crutchfield has an link called "outfit my car" that takes you through a "Turbo tax" style questionaire and tells you what will work and what you will need. here is the link: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Car/outfitmycar/MyCar.aspx

Assuming you have a base Yukon, here are your factory wire colors from modifiedlife.com:
