How to open the bonnet of a Daewoo Matiz SE

A sticky throttle cable would be the thing I would look at as easiest way and more than likely it.
Spray some Lubricant in the cable near the carburettor also under the dash were the peddle is there will be a cable behind it.
If you are not shore which one is the throttle cable get someone to press the accelerator peddle and look under the bonnet you will see it move.

Seriously, I would use an inspection camera to locate the cable that snapped and then grab it with a good pair of vise grips and pull the bejesus out of it. Or check out the latch mechanism and use a cost hanger to get in there and move open the pawl that holds bonnet in place.

Cut back the sheath around the inner release cable inside the car, and using a good pair of locking pliers (Vise Grips) pull the exposed cable.

1. If you contact your local Daewoo dealer Parts department they can look the paint code up for you. There is nothing special or unique about that colour. It is just one of the stock colours on the SE models.

2. Otherwise if you contact any large auto paint supplier they usually have a very large data base of paint codes for many vehicles. Also check the vehicle identification plates under the bonnet to see whether there is any paint code information listed there.

usually down to a snapped cable usually seized mechanism and it is fairly easy to get the bonnet up, first if you look up under the front of the bonnet you can see the two bolts that hold it in place, then using a ratchet, extension, universal joint and a 13mm socket you can undo the bolts and lift the bonnet enough to then release the catch or cable, it can be a bit tricky to do,Also the cables have a habit of coming off the release handle, if you remove the handle held on by 2x 10mm bolts and see if it is still attached. i am going off a fiat as i do not know what car it is,

it depends where the cable snapped. it it snapped near the opener just get a vice grip plier grip the cable and pull. the cable passes inside the left fender, just remove the fender liner and you can access it from there. if it snapped near the catch you need to remove the bumper and or grille

Most of the time the cable snaps at the release handle. If you remove the handle and get the end of the cable, you can cut off the cable jacket and use needle nose pliers or vise grips to grab the cable and pull to release bonnet.

cam sensor is called the optical sensor and is located in the distributer

i have a Daewoo Matiz 2000. It doesn't have Power Steering although other models of Matiz came with Power steering. I want to know if a Power steering can be installed on my Matiz. If so, whom can I contact.
