Clutch problems

So about three months ago my clutch went out on my 05 rx8. I took it to a mechanic and he said I needed to replace the master and slave cylinders as well as a new clutch pedal kit. I pay for that and everything is working out great. Until today. I was driving to school and as I shifted into 2nd the clutch pedal stuck to the floor and I was unable to change gears. The pedal springs back up if I give the smallest effort to lift it. Any ideas on what is wrong now?

SOURCE: Bleeding clutch slave cylinder

i think youre doing the right thing. they are very stubborn to bleed because the hyd. line goes up high across back of engine before droppiing back down to slave cyl., trapping air. could try to gravity bleed by opening bleeder at slave, cap off of master cyl, full with fluid then it may start to come out after a bit. then try your process again. or can try to bleed at connections further up the line, working your way back to bleeder. hope this helps. be patient.

SOURCE: why wont my clutch disengage? its hard to shift gears

It sounds like you got air in the lines after changing the stuff. you will need to bleed it like you do the brakes. it may take two people to to do tis. one to pump the clutch while the other works the fitting to let the air out. I hope this helps, and please be kind with a thumbs up. I need to good marks. Raz

Manual transmission?

If so there is a problem with the clutch. If its hydraulic the slave or master cylinder may be leaking and the reservoir is probably empty. If its a cable it may be out of adjustment or broken.

We would certainly hope that the people who replaced the clutch would have replaced the components, but such is not universally true.
You have a "slave cylinder" near the clutch mounted on the transmission, and it could have failed.
So could have the "master cylinder", for that matter.
God bless your efforts.

The clutch pedal is rock hard won't go in too gear checked the clutch master cylinder and thats ok, so do you know what the problem is.

Possible solution! Daewoo Lanos 98-99
Had the same problem suddenly the clutch pedal went rock hard!
The clutch was around 3 months old.
Mechanic checked - Master, Slave, Clutch Components, and inside the box, all looked okay.
Turned out the top arm of the clutch pivot rod had twisted, replaced pivot rod around AU$100.
Fixed Problem!

Clutch pedal stays on floor when released

check the helper spring on the clutch pedal. You'll have to get down in the driver's footwell and using a flashlight look at the mechanism while you push the pedal down (and pull up). If the spring isn't missing or broken and everything looks okay, then change the clutch master cylinder. The piston in the cylinder is probably binding due to corrosion in the bore. I have an 1986 and had the same problem. Changing the clutch master cylinder fixed it.
