Question about 2007 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 Sedan
The light (orange) looks like a upside down light bulb with a ( ! ) in the center. Any one know what this warning light is for.

OK, It means you have a light bulb out.
Sadly, it doesn't tell you which one though. It maybe a tail, turn, brake, backup, or headlight.
You'll need someone to look around as you run through the lights in the car.

Just an FYI--the second symbol underneath the large symbol in orange--stands for tire pressure! It makes sense--the bottom of the symbol looks like tire tread.
It has been lit up on my dash for two days--and after reading the posts above, I thought I had a burned out ligtbulb--but had a punctured sidewall of my rear passenger side tire. Today on the way to work--fortunately, I had a flat before I got on the freeway. Sooo-- I guess I better purchase an owners manual---SusieH

The only warning light I’m aware of that has an exclamation point is for the TPMS system. Tire Pressure Monitoring System. It does exactly that. Typically it comes on with a chime or a message that conveys low tire pressure and some cars will indicate exactly which tire, the location is only to be trusted if set up properly. Tire rotations can mess this up if the system is not updated. In severe cases of rapid pressure loss the TPMS system can indicate such by message or rapid chimes.

I am not familiar with this model but I think it is a bulb failure warning light. Check around the car for failed bulbs including brake lights etc. Don't forget the number plate bulbs. If you find any change the bulb/s and the warning should go off.

Good question, I think the answer is, Yellow (sometimes orange) dashboard lights usually mean something needs to be repaired or serviced soon and to operate with caution.
