Mercedes/dead battery can't open trunk help

We have a 2000 mercedes c230 with a dead battery and unable to open trunk with key need help. thank you I have the same problem with a 1998 c280. I've looked under the hood but cant find the "positive charging post". I have to get the car moved because I'm moving so this is borderline emergency.

    Are there specialized locksmiths for this type of thing, or can i just look in the phone book and call any.

    should be able to call any of them, or mercedes benz itself. the dealer would know instantly

Just had the same problem.

The fact the key had not been used in many years the locking mechanism was basically stiff'

Applied copious amounts of wd40 kept turning the key back and forward while applying pressure and release to the boot lid did the trick

How can I open my trunk when my battery is disconnected on my c230 Mercedes.
SLIDE THE BLADE KEY OUT OF YOUR SMART KEY.IF YOU LOOK SOMEWHERE AROUND THE OUTSIDE TRUNK RELEASE HANDLE YOU WILL SEE A TUMBLER (KEY HOLE).INSERT THE BLADE KEY AND TURN FULL LEFT AND PULL HANDLE.IF THIS DOES NOT WORK TRY TURNING THE KEY FULL RIGHT AND PULL HANLDE.

Reset alarm on 2000 Mercedes C230
Disconnect the battery lead at the starter motor.Leave off for a few hours then reconnect it.It should reset it for you.

Battery is dead and can't open the trunk, even manually
Starter motor on this car is imposible to get to..better find the post forward of the drivers side fuse box in the engine compartment where a bunch of wires come together. This is a positive terminal attach red jumper here put the negative jumper on any bare metal bracket of the engine
