Intermittently my power steering locks when starting up, the stop light also comes on and ESP or EPS/ something else comes on dash. I am not convinced there is anything wrong with Power steering. I also had tyres tracking and balancing done in Oct 12 and this stopped happening and only started again about 2 weeks ago. HELP

Sometimes a faulty footbrake switch causes all these to act up from new. simple replacement.
There might be an electrical problem, check if the harness on the abs and other sensors on the wheels are well conected

Try first unplugging battery cable for ten minutuse, to reset ECM, and do a scan again, there are too many unrelated error codes at the same time

your steering switch probly burnt internally, that is the thing that the turn signal and wiper switch is attched too, the steering wheel needs ot be removed to replace it.

I have a 2005 Magane and i got the same message this morning and the power-steering has failed

if i remember right those belts are not together cuz your car has two belts on it one that goes from the crank pullel that runs the a/c and alt and then one thats from the crank to the power steering
Whenever
this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating
that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of
lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected
a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM,
SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must
now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and
"scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the
problem(s)
