No, low level fog lights are for use in fog only to reduce glare back to the driver. You have one bulb that need replacing on the offside and you need to turn them off on the lighting stalk. Also as you have the U.K. version make sure you only use the high intensity rear guard light when visibility is 500 yards or less. I live in Canada now and people with European cars (Volvo, Mini, Fiat) have no idea when to use them and blind other drivers on the motorways in clear weather.

Fog Lamps The fog lamps switch is located in the instrument panel switchbank. Push the fog lamp symbol on the switch to turn on the lamps. The indicator light will glow. Push the ribbed part of the switch to turn them off. The indicator light will go off. Your parking lamps or headlamps must be on for your fog lamps to go on.

I'm assuming that you have the factory fog lights on a NHW20 (2004-2009) Prius. In the US 2004 Owner's Manual, it is listed in Section 2-4, "Operation of Instruments and Controls,""Lights, Wipers and Defogger,""Front Fog Lights,"

I think this may be due to a defective fog light relay, it is sticking. Check the onwers manual for location, it should be under the hood.

I have a 2004 f150 xlt triton. I couldn't figure out the how to turn on the fog lamps and the manual was not helpful.

Solution: turn the light switch all the way to the right and pull the switch (out) towards you. Push switch in and it turns off. The manual says to turn switch all the way to right but doesn't say to pull switch out.

Most likely it is a 4 speed automatic over-drive transmission. You can shift it thru the gears if you want a sporty feel, but not needed. The fog light bulbs may be burned out, a bad fog light fuse or switch. Does the switch illuminate when you switch it on?

the key must be on and the headlight need to be on low beam for them to operate,your dash button for the fog lights should have a small light in the switch when you have all the above on,if there is no light in the switch,check your owners manual in the glove box,it will show you fuse box locations and what each fuse feeds
