No start 1995 chevy lumina 3.1

Could be flooded out.Try starting it again with the gas pedal to the floor. Everytime you turn the key on, it shoots gas in the engine. When you try to start it, keep doing it for 20 to 30 seconds. Then let off. wait a couple minutes and do it again.

51 IIRC, is EGR fail, fix that first.
if the EGR fails the car will in fact stall at every stop sign.
yes, the motor runs at 300 RPM and illegal RPM 800 is correct.
this is the EGR stuck open
all cars with EGR have a 50k mile service, my bet is you dont follow the service charts.?

we clean the valve.
in a shop they wont the replace it for like $200 part and $100-200 labor.
DIY guys , remove it and clean it and test it with a hand vacuum pump, if electric use that on car, in special way (ask);

have you tried the throttle position sensor?

Undo your terminals... Get a battery cleaner (fine scrapper) and clean(scrap) your battery post AND terminals.

There are 3 , 1st and second are under the hood on both sides where you would normaly see the batt and 3rd on the passenger side, side of the dash, need to open door for access

Its likely your master cylinder is bypassing
internally , it may require replacement.

First of all, what engine size? Is check engine light on? Is it using coolant &/or oil? When was last tune up? Plugs,wires & filters? Always start off with maintenance first.

95 chev Luminas have a vacumn line running to a vacumn accumilator under driver side front fender liner that runs up to the firewall before running to switch. These are real bad about breaking. Run into this a lot.

I have a 96 Chevy Lumina with an electric sliding side door. A few weeks ago we started having problems with it. I went to work and when I got ready to leave it would not start. I had to have it jumped. Got home and let it set over the Thanksgiving weekend. Went to start it the Mon/Tues after and nothing. Let it set another week and still nothing. We jumped it again and it took 15 minutes to get enough of a charge in the battery to get it started. Took it to a battery store and they checked the battery and said that was the problem. We replaced the battery (it wasn't that old) and went home. A few days later it wouldn't start again. Could this problem have anything to do with the electric slinding door? if so, any suggetions on how to fix it?

lift the rug at edge of the floor right above the bumper there is a big nut turn counter clockwise
