Misfire 2004 jaguar x-type has a misfire on clyinders 3 and 5 and is showing codes P1313 and P1316 on the scan tool. it has came to use from the dealership. they have had the injectors flowed and tested all came back at 80% except for one which was at 60% so they replaced just that one and problem is still there. they also have changed just one coil pack to which i beleive they all should be changed. if anyone can help out it would be great.

Well, the P in the code means powertrain.  As far as the code specifics,
P1313 Misfire Rate Catalyst Damage Fault - Bank 1
P1316 Misfire Rate Exceeds Emissions

I would say check your spark plugs and wires.

2005 jaguar s-type 3.0 in limp mode. How can I fix thi???

we can't tell you what you can do, lacking skills and tools and spares.
I can tell you what a shop does. sure.
P0300 means all cylinders of the engine are missing,
means (physics) weak combusting on all cycl.
bad spark all or bad injections to all (lean) or engine cam out of time?
P1 codes are factory only codes. Jag codes
P1000 means car is not ready for smog tests, the , onboard readiness is not complete, means drive for a day or 2 and is caused by scan tool DTC reset or battery on car went dead or was disconnected.
next P1316 _
Misfire Excess Emission, get the shop to find it.
there are a battery of test to do.
even low fuel pressure can trip p0300.
goes lean ,combustion goes weak and BINGO gross misfire.
or bad spare, but how can all fail and not get one cmp or ckp errors>?
bad fuel> too. put diesel in the gas?
park parked over 1 year or parked less, with 1/8 tank for long long months?
we can not guess history of any car.

Hello my 2005 S-Type Jaguar is throwing up codes can you tell me what they are... and possibly what they mean *P0306 *P1314 *P1316 *P1317 *P1647 *P1000 Thank You

You need to get your vehicle to a good mechanic as this could be almost anything! One of the cylinders isn't firing correctly. This could be a fuel, an air or a spark issue. It will need further investigation. It also suggests there might be a problem with one of the O2 sensors on the exhaust system. I was unable to find a listing for P1317.
P0306 = Cylinder 6 - misfire detected.
P1000 = OBD Systems Readiness Test Not Complete.
P1314 = Misfire Rate Catalyst Damage Fault - Bank 2.
P1316 = Misfire Rate Exceeds Emissions.
P1317 = (no code found).
P1647 = Linear O2 Sensor Control Chip (Bank 2).

Jaguar 2002 xtype runs perfectly. Engin light is on showing codes p1111 p1316 and mis fire cylinder 1 3 5

remove the air filter housing check the wiring has not rubbed through on the metal filter holder mounting common problem.or water ingress in the engine control module/connector the plugs/on plug coils are also troublesome but 3 on the same bank is unlikely to go bad at the same time good luck

2003 Jaguar X Type has p1314,p0300,p1313,,p0303,p0301,p0302,p0305

the fault codes you have are all misfire codes p1313 and p1314 are manufactuer codes only. but they all point to same issue check the engine wiring harness under the air box for chaffing also the on plug coils are very unreliable the spark plug internal resistance is critical use only genuine plugs we had to change all 6 because pattern plugs had been fitted and check for water ingress in to the ecm/connector that may be the problem

I have a 2002 Jaguar X-type. The check engine light came on and it has been acting jumpy/shaky. I recently took it to be diagnosed and the codes I recieved back were P1314, P1316, P1111, and P0302..What do...

All fault codes can be checked out at http://www.bluejag.co.uk but here are the results for some of yours. You can ignor P1111. Looks like a faulty plug or coil pack cylinder 2

Fault Code:- P1314 Indicates a Power-train fault

The fault is generally due to a problem in the Ignition or Misfire area

Fault Description: Misfire rate catalyst damage -bank 2 NOTE: This DTC will flag only when accompanied by an individual cylinder misfire DTC: P0300 - P0306

Action of ECM:- ECM Default:- Maximum engine speed reduced

After clearing the DTC, complete the Misfire monitor drive cycle
Check for a reoccurrence of fault DTC.

Possible Fault:- Cylinder compression low Worn camshaft / broken valve spring(s) Fuel delivery pressure (low / high) Fuel injector(s) restricted / leaking Fuel injector(s) continuously open Fuel contamination Fuel injector circuit fault(s) (Injector DTCs also flagged) Spark plug failure / fouled / incorrect gap ECM to ignition coil primary circuit fault (Cylinder misfire detected DTC also flagged) Ignition coil failure
Fault Code:- P1316 Indicates a Power-train fault

The fault is generally due to a problem in the Ignition or Misfire area

Fault Description: Misfire excess emission NOTE: This DTC will flag only when accompanied by an individual cylinder misfire DTC: P0300 - P0306

Action of ECM:- none

After clearing the DTC, complete the Misfire monitor drive cycle
Check for a reoccurrence of fault DTC.

Possible Fault:- Cylinder compression low Worn camshaft / broken valve spring(s) Fuel delivery pressure (low / high) Fuel injector(s) restricted / leaking Fuel injector(s) continuously open Fuel contamination Fuel injector circuit fault(s) (Injector DTCs also flagged) Spark plug failure / fouled / incorrect gap ECM to ignition coil primary circuit fault (Cylinder misfire detected DTC also flagged) Ignition coil failure

Fault Code:-
P0302 Indicates a Power-train fault

The fault is generally due to a problem in the Ignition or Misfire area

Fault Description: Misfire detected ?€" cylinder 2

Action of ECM:- none

After clearing the DTC, complete the Misfire monitor drive cycle
Check for a reoccurrence of fault DTC.

Possible Fault:- Refer to P0300 Possible Causes

2003 x-type codes help. P0037, P0300, P0305, P1111 (pend), P1316. Any help with explaining these codes will be much appreciated. Thanks.

DTC P0037; RIGHT-HAND CATALYST MONITOR SENSOR HEATER CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW/HIGH RESISTANCE
DTC P0300; RANDOM MISFIRE DETECTED, MISFIRE DETECTED, PRIMARY CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
DTC P0305; RANDOM MISFIRE DETECTED, MISFIRE DETECTED,
P1316 IS A MISFIRED OF A CATALYST FOR EX.SPARK PLUG,INJECTOR PRESSURE ,IN GENERAL ITS THE MISFIRED DRIVE CYCLE ...SOMETHING IS FIRING PROPERLY..LET ME ASK HOW MANY MILES DO YOU HAVE.?AND CODE P1111 IS NOTHING TO BE WORRIED ABOUT ITS THE SYSTEM READINESS TEST THAT THE CARS ECM PERFORMS WHEN YOU CUT IT OFF EACH TIME...MAKES SURE THAT ALL IS FUNCTING WELL.

Code p1313 p1316 p1111 p0301 means what?

Odd one this to have P1111 as well.

According to my data P1111 is all dtc checks compleated, http://www.bluejag.co.uk however some websites show it as a Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor Circuit Intermittent High Voltage, I'm fairly sure that the latter is incorrect.

check the basics first plugs, leads, corroded ground connections etc then its a bit of a guessing game

As for the other codes

P0301 = Misfire detected - cylinder 1
P1313 = Misfire rate catalyst damage - bank 1
P1316 = Misfire excess emission

Possible causes (as per JTIS):

Cylinder compression low
Worn camshaft / broken valve spring(s)
Fuel delivery pressure (low / high)
Fuel injector(s) restricted / leaking
Fuel injector(s) continuously open
Fuel contamination
Fuel injector circuit fault(s)
(Injector DTCs also flagged)
Spark plug failure / fouled / incorrect gap
ECM to ignition coil primary circuit fault
(Cylinder misfire detected DTC also
flagged)
Ignition coil failure

hope this helps
