SOURCE: Need the free radio code to unlock a Honda Accord

If the code is not written on the radio casing or inside the glove compartment, in/under the ashtray, behind the sun visor (or similar “hidden” place inside your car ) then the majority of HONDA codes may be available here

https://radio-navicode.honda.com

You will require the car VIN number and Radio serial Number

If they cannot provide your code then you will have to try your HONDA Main Dealer .....or a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

You only get like 10 tries this means you made to many attempts trying to put the wrong code in. Disconnect the battery cable and then try putting the code in the radio again.

Radio stopped working on my 2003 honda odyssey

Most honda's radios had a theft deterent system that requires a 4 digit code to be entered after power to the system is lost. If you do not have a code setup, look in your owners manual, some had a factory set code to unlock and allow you to set your own code. If not, you may need to see a dealer as they would be the only ones I know that would have the capability to unlock it.

Please help me to get the code number to unlock the radio for honda crv 2003

    • 1 Look in your owner's manual booklet for your radio anti-theft code. The code is printed on a small card (similar to a credit card) and included with your owner's manual. If you can find the code, skip to Step 5.
If you cannot find the code, you'll need to retrieve it.
    • 2 Turn your ignition off to begin retrieving your radio code. Press and hold the "1" and "6" preset buttons on your radio. Turn your ignition on.
    • 3 Write down the code displayed on your radio. The display will flash with two numbers: one beginning with a "U" and one beginning with a "L." Write down both numbers (beginning with the "U" number), and then disregard the "U" and the "L."
This number (eight digits) is your radio serial code. You'll need it to retrieve your radio anti-theft code.
    • 4 Contact Honda to retrieve your radio anti-theft code. You'll need your 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number, found beneath the driver's side of the windshield and your radio serial code. Honda's customer service number is (800) 999-1009. Provide the representative with the information to acquire your radio anti-theft code.
You can also retrieve your radio anti-theft code online for free at https://radio-navicode.honda.com/
    • 5 Turn your ignition to "Acc" or "On" to power on your radio. Enter your radio anti-theft code using the preset buttons at the bottom of your radio. For example, if your anti-theft code is "55512," you would press the "5" button three times, then the "1" button, then the "2" button. This will unlock and reset your Honda radio.

7. Make sure your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is handy to get the unlock code. (can be found on your insurance card, driver's side door jam, small plate on dashboard by registration and inspection stickers, etc)

If the power from your battery to the Honda radio is interrupted the Anti-Theft feature kicks in, the radio is rendered inoperable and the screen reads 'CODE'. You must enter in the Anti-Theft Radio Unlock Code (usually 5 digits) to make it operational again. You know that much by now.

Error 7 on 2005 Honda CRV Radio

I had the same issue with the radio code error lock on a 2005 CRV. I was unaware of the code procedure and had locked the radio in the "ERROR E" mode. I was able to unlock the radio by pulling the #9 back up fuse located in the fuse box in the engine compartment. This reset the radio to CODE which then allowed me to input the 5 digit number which I had in my glove box along with my owner's manual. I am happy to report I now have a working radio/ CD player.
