I have a 2004 Dodge SX 2.0 and it wont turn on..the lights come on and the accessory lights come on but nothing from the engine..it doesnt even make a noise when i try to turn it on..it doesnt turn over at all..what can i do?

Check some fuses or see if you are getting any kind of spark. Spark at the plugs or injectors.

You mean it cranks but won't start ?
If the check engine light is not on when you turn the key on, the engine computer does not have power from a fuse, or the computer has failed.

The cranking problem could be a weak battery, bad connection between the battery and the starter, or a weak starter. Sometimes the brushes in a starter stick and don't make contact.
The check engine light should come on when the key switch is on and then go off once the engine starts.

So you think its the fuel filter at fault? Is the engine light ON? and what are the trouble codes?

ckeck the starter

check battery cables if dirty or corroded clean battery posts and cables make sure they are clean as and tight

the 3 key turns dosent work on 2004 chryslers.i think 2000 or 2001 they removed that function from all chrysler/jeep/dodge/plymouth products

I take it the light stays on? You might want to check your air filter, might be stuffed. You can reset the Check engine light by disconnecting the battery while the ignition is in the 'on' position, either negative or positive( I generally go with the positive, feel better about it for some reason) leave disconnected for about a minute, during this time I turn the ignition to 'off'. Reconnect the battery, if the light comes back on, you might want to get it scanned with an OBD and see what error codes it gives you, could be an O2 sensor or anything.

It sound like the nutral saftey switch their is a swith thats connected to the clutch arm up under the dash. When you push your clutch in it tells the computer that it's okay for the car to start because it knows then knows that the transmission is disengaged and in nuetral for saftey reasons. It's a pain in the but to to sometimes depending on how much room you have to stick your head up under the dash. Get a flashlight and just push the clutch in and out you might hear it click to help you find it. It might be a little box conected to the arm itself or just a simple switch that just pushs in and out. I hoped this helped you out. It would be appreciated if you could rate my answer. Start by checking the battery connections. If they seem okay then, even though it may be pretty new, I would take the battery to the dealer and have them check it for an internal short in the battery. I had this happen 2 weeks after picking up a new car.
