Chirping in steering wheel of 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe

The steering wheel makes a chirping noise in my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe usually when it is warm outside or after I've run it through a car wash. I don't notice it much at all when it is cold outside. What could be causing the noise?

When I turn the steering wheel, it sounds like the wheels are squeaking, like a chirping noise. It is really loud! do I need to take it to the dealer???

there is a small buzzing sound under the steering wheel part of the dash when I turn the dial to turn up the heat in my Santa Fe..2008. Only turning it up not down.Just a zzzt. If I turn it up a few degrees the buzzing lasts a bit longer than if I only turn it up 1/2 degree. Is it an electrical problem? A fuse? Help!!
I'm afraid to drive it on a trip I'm taking in the am...a sunday of course..

Same noise on my 2007 SF w/42K and took it to the dealer. He said it was a rubber part in the steering column and he would have to replace the entire steering column under warranty. Second one he has seen (tiny dealership) and apparently Hyundai is considering a TSB.

Drop out of the sale unless they fix it.

Noise sterring wheel

Check the level of your power steering fluid. If that's correct, then the power steering unit has some problems, causing the noise, usually when you turn the wheels. You may have to replace it, if the noise bothers you too much or a mechanic tells you that it can be a danger to drive with it like that.

2007 Santa Fe. Brake lights and battery light come on when steering wheel is turned hard to the lef tor to the right. Lights go off when wheels pointed straight ahead. Rough sounds from motor. Very hard to...

There are a number of problem mentioned on the internet about brake problems and brake calipers seizing up. Smoke and smell from the right front wheel might lead a person to believe there is the best place to start looking.

Our 2001 Santa Fe has developed a roar. I thought

If your noise is a low pitch rumble that gets louder the faster you go, it likely is a wheel bearing that is the cause. Another sign that the noise is from a wheel bearing is if the noise tends to get louder when steering one direction at a steady speed, and quieter when steering the other direction. A transmission noise does not change with the steering.

Stiff steering

hi you may have two problems.the banging noise can be either struts/shocks or ball joints.as for stiff steering can be either power steering. or ball joints.bad ball joints can make a banging moise and make it stiff when turnning the wheels.
