Nah... those are the wires that turn on and off that annoying light on the dash and the chime or ring or christmas tree noise that reminds you to put your seat belt on.

How do i reset my deployed headrest in my crystler 200 i was rear ended

There is no resetting a deployed airbag. The air bag module must be replaced and the airbag control module will need replacing along with the seatbelt pre-tensioners.

How to Reset airbag light

  • Most likely you replaced the clock spring and air bag module right? Well when the srs deploys you also have seatbelt pre-tensioners that are part of the whole retractor assembly and cannot be repaired. Ie either side retractors are not working right , then you need to replace according to chrysler corp.

Seatbelts locked after minor collision

Your seat belts are tied in to your air bag system. Even though your air bags may not have deployed, your seat belt(s) have deployed a one-time use trigger designed to cinch you tightly into your seat in the collision you were in. There is no way to reset them, they will need to be replaced. A used, functioning seatbelt will work, but usually must be of the same year as your car, even if other years appear identical. The wrong year will appear to the on board computer as an error, and will not allow the system to be restored to functional (air bag light will not go off), even though now your seat belt will appear to function. If your air bag light stays on after the bulb-check sequence at startup, it means the system is disabled...the air bag will not function in a crash.

My 2004 Honda Civic has an air bag light on the dashboard. It turned on when I moved the drivers seat forward. I know that the air bag has never been deployed. Is there any way I can clear the light, or...

Hello.
There are quite few components involved in the system that will turn on the air bag light.
Air bags, wiring, seatbelts and sensors are all part of it.
I suspect that when you moved your seat it may have broken a wire near the seat causing the light to come on.
If you want to check for anything obviously broken around the seat area you may be able to save yourself some diagnostic time when you take it in.
Working with air bag systems can be dangerous so I would suggest you take it to an experience mechanic.
Make sure whoever you take it to has the proper tools to do the repair.
Thank you for using FixYa.

2003 Tiburon front seat belts that are connected to Air Bag system. Can those be substituted for regular retractable seat belts we replacing due to air bags and brakes deploying? OR do you have to replace...

you must replace seatbelts of the same type as they work in conjunction with the airbag sensors.just before the airbags go off the seatbelts retract(milleseconds)to pull any slack tight, and you back into the seat,

no, the pre tensioner goes bad(I say your probably have over 100,000 miles on this car), and it is a problem with dodge caravans, plymouth voyagers. You need to check the chrysler web site for recalls on caravans. this may have been on there,

Ford Focus seatbelt locked

There is a gas cylinder that tightens the belt in a minor collision, it is a one time use part it is independent of the air bag deployment system, you will have to replace the seat belt gas cylinder, that may mean a new belt assembly, not sure on focus.
