I have just changed the gearbox on my S80D5 Auto with an identical 55-50sn box from a V70 05 reg. problem is, transmission service message wont cancel and stuck in limp mode - also now showing engine service required message on occasions. specialist garage cant cancel pre existing fault codes - say only possible solution is Volvo dealer and then they might not be able to do anythng!
anybody else had this problem? and hopefully a solution that won't start with £100. bill just to see what the problem is!
There are three ecu settings? gearbox / main ecu / and center control, they all will need to be updated then a process called learning cycle which has to be reset by the technicians, then the car needs to be driven to adapt the new transmission.
