1995 Buick Century blowing hot air.

1995 Buick Century is blowing hot air. So we decided to charge the system and it was still pretty pressurized. It blew cold air for about 2 days. And then returned to blowing hot air. When we charged the system we could hear a slight hissing/leak sound coming from potentially the AC Compressor but it was hard to tell. Then the other day my wife took our daughter to the doctor and it blew hot air on the way there..but blew cold air on the way home. And now will only blow hot air. Could this be the AC Compressor? And If so how do you remove the AC Compressor or a 1995 Buick Century.

A mechanic would check the system with a set of pressure gauges. If the compressor is running, the low side would read around 30psi and the high side would be around 250psi. That is how you know if the system is full of freon or not.
You may have to get a professional diagnosis to proceed. If you replace the compressor, the accumulator needs to be replaced and a vac pump is used to pull all of the air out before the freon is added.

SOURCE: 1998 Buick Century Air Conditioner not blowing out cold air

My 98 Buick Century was doing the same thing. Up here is the north we have Canadian Tire. Went in there picked up a aircon recharge kit called RED TEC 12A hole kit costs $40 cnd I put 1 can in on the low pressure side which is the only fitting that the filler would fit on and now I have 33 degree air coming out of the drivers side and a couple degrees colder from passenger side.
I am sure you guys have something like Canadian tire down there you might even try Wallmart.

SOURCE: my 02 buick century keeps popping the cooling fan fuse and my fans dont turn on is it my pcm ??

I just replaced a set of cooling fan motors for this problem, and the connectors on the motors were even melted, had to replace connector pigtails as well, th fans also cools the a/c condenser so if the fans quit then your a/c will not be very cool unless your driving and the air flow will aid like a fan would..

SOURCE: Buick park ave 1997. Hot air on drivers side, cold on passenger???

either the air duct under the dash is broken or diconnected, or you have a broken or disconnected vacume hose or line. unless you have seperate/digital controls for dr/pass air. if that is the case then you need to replace dr side control unit.

This problem is a low freon charge in the system. ... But a system that is 1/2 pound low will cause the passenger side vents to blow cool or cold air, and the drivers side to be less cool or even warm on this car. There is simply not enough freon capacity in the system to cool the air to the drivers side. https://www.justautorepair.com/buick/century/cool-passenger-warm-driver

1998 buick century blows cool air no heat. cant find the heater coil fuse if there is one. any ideas

It could be one of the following or a combination of the two:
  1. System is low on antifreeze/coolant
  2. Bad thermostat
Assuming the coolant level is good, the odds are pretty good you have a bad thermostat.

I think the air conditioning went in my parents 2002 buick century. it blows warm air. can this be fixed?

yes it can be fixed..most likely it just low on charge..low charge will cause the a/c system to shut down since a low charge can cause damage to the system...just bring it to a qualified repair shop an have it charged an add leak dye...the dye will allow a tech to see if the a/c system has a leak in it

Problem with heating and air conditioning. The driver's side is blowing hot air and the passenger side is blowing cold air

Air Conditioner blows warm air
  1. Air conditioner system is discharged. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by an MVAC certified technician, utilizing approved recovery/recycling equipment. Repair as necessary.
  2. Air conditioner compressor clutch not engaging. Check compressor clutch wiring, electrical connections and compressor clutch, and repair or replace as necessary.

The a/c is blowing hot air freon or compressor?

On this year Buick the AC compressor front shaft seal is prone to leaks and this allows the R134 refrigerant to leak by the seal, with no charge the compressor will not run, the system is lubricated by oil that mixes with the refrigerant, no charge and no lubrication, so the system turns the compressor off. You can replace the compressor fairly cheap (less than $100.00) by buying a rebuilt one on eBay, I did this with my Century last year and so far so good. The compressor comes out through the right front wheel well after the plastic liner is removed.

I just need to know where is the thermostat located on a 2003 bui

Fllow top radiator hose from radiator to engine, where hose clamps on engine is called a goose neck thermostat is under that, it will be held on with 2 bolts. are you sure you got all the air out of system when you chg. water pump? If you don't bleed all air out of system it will not blow hot, because of an air pocket in cooling system.
