My instrument cluster will intermittently quit working and all the warning lites come on, radio goes out, door locks quit working and dic says unknown driver and service 4wd. When this happens the door chime will not come on when the door is opened with the key in the switch. No driveability problem even when this happens. Vehicle is a 2003 gmc 2500HD.

I agree with quetzal1519, but it is only necessary to remove the IPC 10A fuse in the fuse box under the hood for 5 minutes to reset the electronics. This will not reset the radio and clock. You will find a fuse puller in the fuse box next to the driver side door.

Thank you, it worked. I lost all the gauges, on 2004 yukon denali xl. I tried removing the positive terminal for 5 mins, nothing after start. Then I tried what you suggested for 5 mins, WALLA.... started it up ( Presto ) THANK YOU.....

At the odometer and P R D 3 2 1 backlights? If that's the question, it's not a fuse, it's a bad solder point on the board behind the display. If different, post a comment and I'll help some more.

I have a Yukon that the PRD321 do not light brightly can this be fixed by me or do I need to take it to the dealer?

  • Jennifer Posey Aug 10, 2012

How do you address that issue? My backlights have been off for a while, but the gauges just went today. Not a fuse.

in those gauges from 2003-2006 they have faulty instrament panels that go out there is a recall on them but the dealer demands it to be under 800 miles in order for them to fix the problem.....garranty u it is the hole panel that needs to be rebuilt i had the same problem and i researched it and half of yukon owners exsperience this problem

Sounds as though u have experience the GM usual cluster failure. They go bad more often then probably any other vehicle. Gm has been replacing some under a goodwill warranty for some customers.

My 2005 Yukon's tachometer is not working, I think it's just the fuse, but don't know which fuse to check. I did check the instruction manual, but It didn't seem clear as to which one.

If this is an intermittent problem,
remove the IPC 10A fuse in the fuse box under the hood,
not in the fuse panel by the driver side door,
for 5 minutes.
The electronics will reset.

Why my instrument cluster not working on 04 gmc yukon

Hi, this could be because of a blown fuse. or bad sending units. check the fuse box for blown fuses first.
