1995 toyota 4runner 4x4 3.0 v6. had hesitation when accelerating. and has some loss of power. i did tune up(oil+filter, air filter, fuel filter, sparkplugs+wires, cap+rotor, coil). no change and getting worse. idling rough and wants to die and hesitation getting worse. i bought a mass airflow sensor(7 terminal vane airflow sensor).now the car does not want to start. have to press a lot of gas. when it starts it idles good.when i try to rev it it sounds like its flooding and pops though the air cleanr. if i rev really slow i can get it to about 2000rpm's after that flooding and poping. if i hold it right before it cuts out i get a heavy surging. cant even drive it. going crazy please help!!!
ENGINE HESITATES WHILE ACCELERATION
LOSS OF ACCELERATION
It
can be fuel pressure issue or it's the problem with accelerator pedal or its
clogged filters causing there.
There
are many other possibilities. I suggest you to go through the list of help
links mentioned below, these will help you to confirm where the actual fault
lies: -------

Usually answered in minutes!
A friend of mine (is right in front of me trouble-shooting this.) the code comes up for the ETC sensor for a code 22. Only happens when the engine is warm, the toyota tech on the phone (limited help, but more than they were supposed too over the phone) said it might be a sensor in the transmission. The timing is fine, and the compression is fine, the sensors we found weren't exactly the same but the plug was, just not the wires for it, but neither worked. bot other than that, its the same problem the above person is having. We'll keep searching though and keep it posted. Good luck!
It goes up to about 30 mph then all of a sudden loses power, and almost like its running out of gas, or the cat is blocked (we checked that too) but it lunges forward and back, slowing to about 15 mph..after about 300-400 feet it gets back to where it was and is normal for the most part.
Thanks, will check back later. Good luck to you.
