the roblem came from the window regulator cable need to replace the window regulator

Hi Pennie: Hopefully you can get the window to retract by having an assisstant pull up on the window as you operate the window switch. In these Honda models, the likely cause of this window glass failing to roll back up is a broken plastic/nylon guide bushing which holds the glass parallel to the two channels which the glass travels up and down in. Second most likely cause, an inoperable regulator.Hope this helps, take care.

In answer to replacing the Boxster rear window; Yes, very simple; go to your nearest Mercedes dealership and buy any of their models. Your local junk yard may offer you some money for your Boxster, but I doubt it.

The element is imprinted onto the glass and some of your conductors must be cracked. The only repair is a window replacement. You might be able to get hold of a good second hand one, but have it checked out first. Measure the total resistance of a window you know is good and compare it to any used one you intend tp buy.

I will assume that you have a glass window ,as opposed to a clear plastic one.
Look for a tiny zipper on the window welting ,on the inside,or a sewin ,in velcro tab .
Some of the window styles will change ,without notice from the manifacturer.
Check with an upholstery shop /a glass shop,they should know this ,and most will be happy to help.

As noted in one of the earlier questions on the topic, it appears (will verify for certain after the pump is removed) the plastic resevoir tank has cracked and the hydraulic fluid was lost. Leakage was visible in trunk once spare tire removed.
Audi also noted this is not unusual for a vehicle this age, and the replacement tank is a $100 kit.

The window can be replaced just go to a foreign car used auto parts or junkyard or go to your nearest dealer for your car and have it done.

The rear window for that top is a seperate curtain.
Replacement is best left to a professional.
You should cantact an automotive trim shop (upholstery) for them to quote it.

The way it is replaced, you have to take the top loose, roll it forward, replace the window curtain, reinstall the top. Depending on the condition if the top, it may need replacement also. That is best determined by the shop that does the work.
This is not recommend as a DIY project. I worked in a trim shop for years, and they are not easy.

We bought the rear window regulator repair kit. Searched the internet for directions for removal. took it out did the repair. But forgot to hook up a small cable from the slideing door just next to the flip door. Guess what. When the top came up it broke and I am sick about it.
