SOURCE: mechanic mistakenly put gear oil in tank, the pump is knocking

What the heck did he think he was putting in the tank? Gear oil is very thick and heavy, so the fuel pump may have a problem as it is meant to pump gas, which is not thick and heavy like gear oil. There was probably some gear oil in the tank while the pump was operating, and it pumped some gear oil for a short time, which damaged it. Insist that the 'mechanic' replace the fuel pump at no cost to you ,and find a new mechanic for future repairs. Good luck.

SOURCE: When my Mitsubishi galant 97 carburetor car moves

Best solution is to move the carburetor back onto the transmission and bolt it down tightly. The transmission shouldn't neutral up unless the car is brown or other neutral color. If you paint stripes on the car there wont be any more neutralling up and may even fix what's wrong with your brain.

PW50 yamaha. It starts, runs but cannot rave.

There could be a few different reasons why your kids PW50 Yamaha can start and run but cannot accelerate or "rave". Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the air filter: Make sure the air filter is clean and not clogged. A clogged air filter can restrict airflow to the engine, causing a lack of power.
  2. Check the carburetor: Make sure that the carburetor is clean and the jets are not clogged. A clogged carburetor can also restrict airflow to the engine, causing a lack of power.
  3. Check the spark plug: Make sure the spark plug is clean, dry and in good condition. A dirty or worn spark plug can cause a lack of power or no start.
  4. Check the fuel filter: Make sure the fuel filter is clean and not clogged. A clogged fuel filter can restrict fuel flow to the carburetor, causing a lack of power.
  5. Check the exhaust: Make sure the exhaust is not clogged, as this can restrict the engine's ability to breathe and cause a lack of power.
  6. Check the transmission oil: Make sure the transmission oil is at the correct level and not overfilled or contaminated.
  7. Check the drive chain: Make sure the drive chain is not loose or damaged.
It's important to note that these are general steps and the specific procedures may vary depending on the exact model and type of your PW50 Yamaha. It's recommended to consult the user manual or contact the manufacturer for the specific instructions and precautions for your bike. Additionally, it's best to seek professional help if you're not familiar with bike works.

What size of water jacket is fitted to lancer 4G15 engine?

I'm unclear what you actually need to know. The 4G15 came with two radiator sizes, about 12" wide for cars without A/C, and about 22" wide for cars with A/C or automatic transmission.

The coolant capacity is 5 6 liters.

Where dose the vaccum line come from that goes to the transmission

It depends on the vehicle if it is older and has a carburetor it will come off the carburetor or the intake the carburetor sits on.Best way is to trace the hose from the transmission to see exactly where it goes.

I have a 1996 lance with a 4G15 engine that carries an Asian carburetor,i have tryed everything to stop it from running on after i turn of the ignition which it does sometimes ,i have even change the...

1) Warm up engine first(run 5-10 mins)

2)Shut off engine

3) Back out on the idle speed screw until it justt doesn\'t touch the throttle linkage. Then screw it in back about 11 turns

4) Screw in the A/F mixture screw until it stops(do not force tighten)

5) Screw out the A/F mixture screw 2 full turns

6) Start the car. It will run like its choking. As long as it\'s running it\'s ok.

7) Now turn in the A/F screw until engine dies. If this happens, turn
out the A.F screw half turn at a time to bring it back. (try to start
the car of coz)

8)Continue to turn out the A/F screw at half turns every 3 seconds.
Engine will pick up speed. Continue to screw out until the point engine
runs worse. When that happens screw back in half turn every 3 secs to
the point engine runs smoothest.(do this by ear or watch engine
vibration)

9) Now set the idle speed. Go on the air conditioner. Watch the
tachometer. Turn in the idle speed screw until rpm is around 900 to 1000
rpm.

10) Now it\'s ready to rumble..
