To whom it may concern:
I have been trying to get my sunroof to close. I keep hearing snap/crack sound when the sunroof is trying to close completely. But it wouldn't just shut fully. I even tried to get my sunroof to tilt open for venting purpose. It wouldn't. I am so frustrated because my car is brittle. I even try to open it and it also do pop/crack/snap sound. I have no idea what is wrong and I want to tear my car apart to see what the problem is but I am afraid to make a big mistake if I do it without any professional advise.

is the control switch dirty as in the contacts staying on
SOURCE: sunroof will not close
If the motor is stuck, you can probably hold the switch to the forward position, and smack the roof. This may allow the motor to start working. I don't think there is any way to do it manually.
SOURCE: Sunroof Range Rover one side does not function
It has a broken slide rail and this will need to be replaced. It is a common issue. Big job, roof lining and whole sunroof needs to come out to access.
