1993 chevy s10 power loss

93 s10 4.3l losing power only when driving and the colder it gets the worse, but when it is park the engine can rev up perfect. trying to get on highway was a disaster, wouldnt get up yo 55. got code 35 (idle air control) and 44 (O2 sensor), i changed both and get same codes and didnt change the power loss

    Had the same problem with my 91 iron duke changed every sensor and then the water pump and alternator went, eventually i had to change the rad it was basically falling out and when i looked inside it was plugged not allowing coolent through. i put one out of a 4.3 in it Its never ran cooler or smoother since! It solved all the loss of power and bucking problems.

Hi. I would try changing the fuel filter. If its partially plugged up you could be starving for gas and that can make your emmission sensors give bad readings. Cant gurentee it, but it would be a place to start.

I have a 2001 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4. The transmission seems to pulsate under acceleration but if I press the gas a little more the motor revs but the transmission loses power badly. What could it be?

4wd , A/T box.
brake are bad,
and engine misfires.>
we SCAN the PCM for P3xx or P7xx codes misfire and A/T errors (never skip this !!!)
you do know any transmission brain (TCM will get confused if the engine is weak or misfires right, so engine is first to worry.
but you said engine REVS (rpm up high) and car is slow and or
transmission fails to up-shift, to 2nd in drive.??????
any tech in any shop sees the car, and scans it first.
and see OMG dead transmission speed sensors
or sees, gross misfire,
or must drive it first to see what is going on.
if up-shifts fail at the documented shift points the transmission is bad.
or just 1 sensor on it.
this is called DRIVE_ability issue that can only be solved by tech driving it and seeing it fail.
not the blind, not me,but the shift points are what matters.
and if the tech feels misfire or power loss even in 1st gear.
he knows the engine has a problem. (or even both)
2001 is old car, most cars this old have like 10 ignored problems in the wild.
classic that.
or bad spark plugs and bad speed sensor both, a wild guess and common for sure.
post VIN or the RPO code so we can decode drive-train there.

Have you checked fuel pressure with a gauge ?
Is the check engine light on ?
Will it rev up in park or neutral ?
Normal exhaust flow ?

when your in park or neutral the throttle position sensor is moved to a different position it could be this because its worn in that spot really bad it could be a idle air control valve / or really dirty fuel filter but only you know when you changed it the other statements about dpfe and egr are also correct so if no code check engine light works /blown bulb ?do you see it when you first turn the key and the engine starts then goes out

Because an engine revs up freely with no load on it in park and neutral is not a test for loss of power.

Loss of power uphills and shifting improperly.

It sounds very much like your clutch is slipping. If the engine revs continue to rise when in gear and the car does not increase it's speed accordingly then if it is a manual car then you need a new clutch.
