The Nissan Master Warning Light, Explained
Basically, all the master warning light does is let you know that there's some other warning you should pay attention to. According to the 2015 Nissan Altima owner's manual, when the ignition is in the ON position, the master warning light will turn on with any of the following warnings:
-Loose fuel cap
-Door open
-Trunk open
-Low fuel
-Low windshield wiper fluid
-Check tire pressure warning
-No key detected (happens if the Nissan Intelligent Key is left outside the vehicle)
-Release parking brake (this should occur any time you start the car after setting the parking brake)

"I put the key in the ignition, turn it and the warning light goes out, I turn the key to start but there is nothing..." or

"I put the key in the ignition, turn it and the warning light goes out, I turn the key to start but there only a ticking/clicking sound..." or

"I put the key in the ignition, turn it and the warning light goes out, I turn the key to start but the engine only turns over and doesn't catch."

it may be a bad ignition switch=try this test! ( supplies about 50% of power. put key to position 2 the oil light, brake light, charge light and all other warning lights will not function.turn key to start position, as soon as it trys to start let go of key. allow to snap back to run position. and note warning lights, if warning lights go out when switch is snapped back! switch is faulty. in this case. there is no power past switch. check all of the main fuses first!! and wiring to rule them out.

try using a different key, you may have an issue with the key

i cant see lamp, why not use photos so we dont need to guess, 1000 warning lamps used.

the key switch tells the warning box when you remove the key.

that buzz left in is the warning, take key out now.

seem the key inserted switch is stuck but id have to see lamp.

so yes that is switch not a sensor, (but sure one could call a switch a sensor.) and sure wires can fail. and connectors.

sure its electric, is sure is not vacuum.



the warning box can worn head lights left on

or exiting car key left in ignition.

do not fool with the key switch on air bag cars or risk death or broken neck with AIR BAGS.

read the manual, see the 1000 warning there.

and the words, DEFEAT the bags using X procedures first.

there is restitor in heaterbox i think on yours onfire wall next to blower motor it should be athree prong connector that will make it keep running

The ignition key may be defective or in need of a battery to generate the code needed to disarm the immobilizer. Hope this helps!

have alternator checked out.when you see battery warning light.that means battery not geeting charged by alternator.

it is not a safety issues . the chip sensor in the car is defective. if it doesnt anoy you dont worry. if the sensor fails to warn you when the key is left inside then you should be concerned.
