I would try to unhook the battery once more to reset the radio, then try the code again. Beyond that, a malfunction in the chip set of the radio would be more expensive to fix than it's worth. A replacement OEM radio for the cr-v shouldnt be too expensive off of ebay (just saw one for $50), or for a little more $ a new after-market stereo. The codes are for anti theft. If you don't have the original handbook, its not going to be easy to get the code, you will probably have to get the serial number off the radio and go to a Honda Dealer showing proof you own the car to get the code.
There is a little fuse box to the left of the steering wheel with a cover over it. When you take off the cover on the under side of the cover there is a big number (like big font size) printed on a piece of paper. It like 5 or 6 digits long and obviosly numbers that can go into your stereo, like 1-6. If you type it in and it works it will make a beeping sound.

Note: sometimes you can find the code sticker in the glovebox. ... trick should work for 2001 and newer Honda ...
The Accord radio does indeed require a code. Have you tried just putting the code in. If you do not know the code do not attempt to guess, as after a few attempts you will lock the radio for good. I need to know the error message exactly as you see it if inserting the code does not work.
either the radio must be replaced, because honda has problems with the radio. or you need to disconnect the battery for 10 seconds then put in the radio code again
yes , open the compartment at passenger side. inside you will see a code. Shut off the radio and put the radio on , the screen will tell you code , put in that number and it will work
what you need is the radio code to get rid of the error code just disconnect both battery cables touch them together for approx. 30 seconds reconnect cables turn on the radio it should read code there might be a credit card size card in the glove box with the radio code if not look for a sticker in the glove box this is your radio code if not then the radio has to be removed to get the radio seial# then call a honda dealer up give them this number and they can look it up or if your bought the car new call that dealer up they should have this in their history
You'll have to get to the dealer to have them give you the Radio lock out code. Once they give you the code, punch it in, and everything will be back to normal.
i shoul not afect any thing unless you replace the batterie with the car runing, and some radios have antitheft code if batterie die or disconect the radio will ask you to type a code in order to work again but most of times it display the worl code on the digital screen
