If your are VERY CAREFUL you can just any car via Starer lug bolt for positive and frame ground or Starter positive terminal and frame ground. You MUST BE VERY CAREFUL and has a long set of quality jumper cable or jump box.

98 SL500 dead battery. Can't open trunk to get to

Hi Your S class has two batteries. The smaller one is located in the engine bay, and the bigger one in the boot (trunk). No need to access any of them, simply open the door with key, insert key to start engine, you will notice that not all ignition lights will come on, but the engine WILL start, and the batteries will be recharged after a short while.

Can i get a boost off under the hood of my 2001 lincoln ls if the battery is in the trunk?

You must jumpstart it from the battery in the trunk. There is no easy or good way to get to the same wires that you need under the hood.

2001 Mercedes S500 Dead Battery, cannot open the trunk to access battery.

Hi, if you can open the hood, use jumper cables to open the trunk. Connect the negative cable to chassis ground or even the engine. Connect the positive cable to either the big nut on the starter solenoid, the fuse box, or the big charge wire nut on the back of the alternator.

06 Magnum Tried to jumpstart dead battery by remote connections under the hood. Had power on dashboard with key halfway turned, but heard a tick and everything went dead when trying to start. Checked...

if the battery is completely dead it may not carry spark...however sometimes it takes quite awhile to recharge enough to start the engine, after the battery has been run down.

Posotive can be found in hood driver side next to fuse box. It is a small rectangle box. You can hook negative to any solid ground on the car.

the battery has gone dead you can not open the boot/trunk with the electrical system but you should be able to get to the battery by using the key in the lock on the outside of the the trunk its either in the xj badge or the number plate illumination holder. if you can open the engine compartment there is battery pos power points so you can jumpstart/power up the car
