Hey familyvanark,

Your spark plugs are located under your ignition coils. The first three are located on the passenger side underneath the three ignitions coils, im pretty sure the coils are held on my an 8mm bolt. The other three are on the driver side, and are located under the intake manifold, that big medal thing on the top on your engine and white in color. That HAS to come off to get to the other three spark plugs. Other than that take those three coils off and you'll see them.

I changed the spark plugs on my 4.0 2000 Jaguar S-type, once completed everything sound good. Several days later I notice the engine had a miss. What can have cause this miss? In addition, the spark plugs...

Use the .05. And if you didn't replace the plug wires there's a good chance that it separated it when you we're taking it off. You can replace the wires or get up ohmmeter and check the continuity of the wires

I have a 2004 54 plate jaguar x type 2.0 v6 fault code P0346 comes up on scan camshaft position sensor a- bank 2 need help to locate the sensor thank you to all that can help me

http://www.bluejag.co.uk/Jaguar-XType-Engine-2L-V6.php
I haven't finished this page yet so it's only a guide to location at the moment. location 5 and 6.

If you disconnect the sensor and check your error code you will be able to tell which is which (if you get a new code its the wrong bank).
It may pay to check your spark plugs in the bank concered, if the resistance of plug(s) go high this will also cause this fault

Where are the spark plugs located on the 2000 s type jaguar? Also where can I get a repair manual for this make and model?

When you ask for information about your 2000 Jaguar S-Type, it would be very helpful if you would take a moment to mention which engine it is equipped with. There is a 3.0L V-6 and a 4.0L V-8 engine available for that make and model.

However, the spark plug replacement is similar except that the intake manifold must be removed to access the plugs on the right bank on the V-6 engine.

The spark plugs are located under the cover that goes down the center of each valve cover. You must remove the plastic engine cover to see the cover that goes down the center of the valve covers. Remove the screws in the cover plate. Remove the electrical connectors for each ignition coil. Remove the screws securing the coils and remove the coils. The spark plugs are located at th bottom of the hole that the coils just came out of.

NOTE: The spark plug tubes should be blown out with compressed air before removing the spark plugs. Failure to do so can cause severe engine damage from debris falling into the combustion chamber or contaminating the spark plug hole threads.

As for finding a service manual, the best recommendation I can give you is to subscribe to the service information available at ALLDATAdiy.com. This is the same infomation that I use as a professional auto repair technician. The fee is extremely reasonable - under $30 (US) per year.

Washed engine now car starts but slowly loses power then cuts out daewoo nubira 2l year 2000 swagon

The ignition leads are most probably wet. the leads that go down towards and over the spark plugs. Simply pull them off blow the spark plugs and leads dry with a hairdryer or preferably compressed air.

that should sort it.

Engine missfire

Get your local garage to put a scanner on the car. The early s-type used to suffer from ignition coil faults. If a fault has been hinted towards a specific coil then swap to a different cylinder and see if the fault follows wich will indicate a coil fault.

Has the vehicle had its spark plugs changed? every 70.000 miles as they tend to fail if left unchanged. Intake manifold requires removing to replace bank 1 plugs.

Also check the small rubber elbow on the end of the plastic beather pipe wich runs throught the intake manifold branches. Elbow is located at the rear of the engine

Hope that helps

How do i replace the spark plugs in a jaguar 2000?

THE SPARK PLUS ARE LOCATED UNDER THE VALVE COVERS, ON TOP OF THE VALVE COVERS THERE IS A SMALL PLATE COVER WITH 8 LITTLE BOLTS THAT NEEDS TO BE REMOVED WHICH WILL THEN SHOW YOUR COILS, UNPLUG COILS PULL COIL OUT AND SPARK PLUG WILL BE LOCATED UNDER THE COILS.
The left side is easy, just pop off the left side engine cover...remove the coils and the plugs are right there. The right side is a whole other matter completely, you need to remove the intake manifold to be to access them. It is a relatively simple job if you are even slightly mechanically inclined. Ensure you replace the upper intake manifold gaskets when you remove the intake manifold.
