Begining, I just put a new clutch and pressure plate in my truck. NOTE: I have a NV3500 GM 5 speed transmission.. The thing is my truck would not start after putting everything back.. I went and bought a new Nutral Safety switch. Snapped it to my clutch pedal rod up by the firewall. Still my truck would not start:(? So I by-passed the switch wireing by connecting 2 wires from a horn switch that I purchased and pluged 1-wire into the purple lead of the switches wire assembly & the other wire into the brown wire.. My truck starts and a saftey light comes on in the dash.. I tried adjusting the Neutral Safety switch by sliding it back and fourth and using the ignition at the same time.. My engine turn's but will not start up.. Anyone KNOW how to fool the computer in my truck and to by pass this "pain in the neck" Neutral safety switch to start my truck & just go?? Theres got to be a good wrench out there that knows how to do this bypass??? I've heard (For every problem there's a solution, but I have not found the solution to this one yet? Starting

when it wont start, turn your headlights on, see if they work if they dont, find out why. When it wont start, take a wire from the positive battery terminal and touch it to the small post on the starter solenoid, it should crank. If it now cranks, theres a problem between the ign switch and the starter solenoid.

Check body to motor ground wire and battery to motor and body ground.

do not bypass it. the only wires on it that are of concern are the 2 purple wires. If you wire them together it will start without the clutch pedal depressed but that can be very dangerous.
