SOURCE: 2005 Audi A4 1.8 Fuel Pump problem?

I had an Audi A4, 10 years older than yours mind you, but it would start then stop, sometimes 10 times but would eventually go. I ran a little WD40 in the key barrel and put the key in and out a couple of dozen times. Wiping it with a cloth each time, lots of dirt came off. My theory and it's only mine, is that the wear on the key left dirty metal deposits inside which stopped the chip in the key being recognised. I believe they had a security chip inside the key.
Anyway after 6 months of this nuisance it never happened again after that. Fixed my problem and a lot of frustration. Maybe help you too.

Audi a4 convertible 2005 rear passenger window goes down but not fully

Could be a couple of things. One would be the regulator is worn out/ going bad. Two would be the thermo protection in the motor is going out. Either way, you will have to replace the whole unit. Regulator and motor. They don't come separate.

At how many miles do i need to replace the timing belt in my 2005 a4 1.8T

You need to replace the timing belt in your 2005 Audi A4 1.8T at 112000 miles (180000 km). Replace also all timing kit: belt, water pump, guide roller, and tension roller. See picture below:

Bonnet cable broke of a4 audi

You will be able to open the hood if you pull off your splash guard and use a long long flat head screwdriver or something like that. You'll see the hood latch in front of the radiator with the cable attached to it at the top near the hood, put it on the drivers side edge of the bottom of the latch and pry to the passenger side, the lever moves from the drivers side to the passengers side, the cable basically pulls the top of it to achieve this. so your doing the same thing on the bottom with the screwdriver.

tdisline_113.jpg
Release the latch from underneath by the lever that you have to pry towards the passenger side. Then open the hood, and replace the safety release mechanism broken cable.

Code P0118 on Audi A4 - Related to Ignition Coil Problem?

Hi, the sensor on the engine (right at the rear end of the cylinder head) has two separate outputs. One drives the temperature gauge and the other provides data for the engine control unit. The output for the engine control unit is almost certainly faulty and the sensor will need to be replaced. It isn't an expensive item and's not time consuming to replace (1/2 hr) - so you could ask Audi to do it for you when they replace the ignition coils.
Hope that helps Matt..

AUDI A4 window problem

I would check a junk yard for the actual window regulator, this is a tough piece to replace, but it would be worth it if that is the problem. While you are at that part of the project, you can lube up the window glides with some wesson oil(cooking oil), it'll be a little messy the first few times, but after a while there will be no greasy mess on the edges of the windows and it will glide with no problem.
