2000 volkswagen beetle OBD code PO411

Just wondering if anybody knows what would commonly pop this code on the vw beetle with the 2.0 motor .i had changed the hoses to the air injection pump and checked the surrounding hoses for cracks .do the pumps commonly go bad or could it be a fuse or relay issue?also it has issues on the auto transmission where it seems like 1rst gear is extremely delayed and then when it finally does shift into 2 nd and 3rd which it is barely noticable that it does,, at about 55 60 mph its as if your in 2nd gear.the OBD2 isnt popping any trans codes,so again i was wondering if these cars are common for bad internal transmission mechanical issues verses electronic and thats why its not popping a code? the type of transmission is the ELY code and the motor code is the AEG

P0411 Volkswagen Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected LOL some of you people on here come up with some interesting terminology ( popping a code ) The computer set's DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes an with the aid of a scan tool we read these codes .

the solenoids in the trans may be sticking,try adding 1 pint of dot 3 brake fluid to the transmission fluid and drive it for a while-give it a chance to work..the brake fluid acts like a cleaner and it makes worn seals and clutches swell a little.just drive it easy for about 20-30 miles,its only about $3.00 and it could save a $1,600.00 rebuild

YOU HAVE A TANK MOUNTED PUMP AND FRAME MOUNTED PUMP.THEY BOTH SHARE THE SAME RELAY AND INERTIA SWITCH.YOUR FUEL PUMP RELAY COULD BE BAD.OR BAD CONNECTION AT INERTIA SWITCH OR SWITCH ITSELF CAN BE FAULTY.SHORT OPEN HOT WIRE TO BOTH PUMPS OR POOR BROKE GROUND WIRE.

MV could be the problem. Always work thru issue before buying ANY can of additive. Generally those things just mask the issue..not fix it. Change your fluid,and if that doesnt correct it,then take it in and have the tranny bands tightened. most shops do this relatively in expensively.

SOURCE: E40d trans will not shift into 3rd or 4th gear, only rev. 1+2

check or replace your thottle position sensor tps that trans needs to know where the throttle is to shift if it is bad it will do as you say wont shift to third
another telltale is it will act like it goes into lockup when shifting into reverse and stall the engine

If you have opened key you will see it needs a round flat battery
Go to your local motor factor shop not main dealer
The battery is only a common 3 volt battery
