SOURCE: I have an 06 impala and the TRUNK WON'T OPEN. It

you have a fuse for it ,check the fuse box ,it might not say trunk on fuse panel, you might need to pull those fuses out one by one checking each one to see if blown, if the center between the two sides are broke the fuse is blown, hope this helps you, thanks robert b.

if you insert the key in the lock and turn it alittle further the boot should open.the noise you hear is the actuator moving, but the plastic rod to open the boot is probably brocken.

SOURCE: 2006 Jetta 2.5 trunk latch operate when really cold

you need to remove the trim cover on the inside of the trunk lid. it sounds like the solenoid is jamming. the solenoid should flick out against a lever that will release the trunk lid and then return back again within a split second. if it stays out then it is jamming, and thus holding the truncks locking mechanism open.
the solenoid may also jam shut and therefor not release the lock. if you can see this happening then replace the solenoid.

Trunk lid and lock problems. I would like to get a diagram or photo of the inside of trunk lid or instructions on what to do to open trunk without much damage.

The easy way is to pop the back seat off, it's a 10 min job. After the seat back it out reach in with a flat screwdriver in the lock slot and open it will be.

1993 honda del sol trunk wont open with key

You might be able to release the back seats and lay them down to climb into the trunk, or the seats may need to be unbolted for access to the trunk.

Can i gain entrance to trunk through back seat ?

-Michael, I'd expect that not to be in a '97 deville; some expensive **** might get damaged in the process. A lot of muscle cramps, too. But if it were a have-to situation, there may be a big enough opening in the trunk framing set-up behind the fabric board (cardboard, like)- insulator, sound deadener stuff, all behind the cushions, you know. It would all have to be removed or pushed aside...I guess it beats a crowbar opening the trunk from the outside? lol.
I had to go into the car from the trunk on a Toyota celica once, when I locked the keys in it. Only took about 20 minutes, but I destroyed the already damaged board backing stuff that the rear cushions set on. My back seat never recovered from that-lol.

Trunk wont open and the back seat wont fold down on our kia optim

By switching the lever you locked the inside trunk release, you will need to put lever back. as far as the trunk you may need to remove the rear seat, pop lower part out and then remove the bolts to the top half of the seat then try to reach the lever so it will open from the inside. i've found that many of these cars with the pop lever inside have sticking trunk locks from not being used, what you do first is spary lock good, with wd40 or pb blaster then slide key in and out and try to turn this may take a whhile but it works then tumbler will free up, you just have to keep spraying inside lock and working the key.

The trunk on my 97 jetta wont unlock is there some way to open it from inside without using the consol button, which also doesn't work

There is one way, in the back seat in the center you should have a arm rest that folds down, behind this is a access panel that should also fold down leaving a opening for ski's ect. You can use a flash light to see what your doing and use a car snow brush you use for brushing off snow to push on the linkage at the back of trunk or something you can use to manipulate the latch linkage. You may be lucky enough your jetta may have a emergency pull handle which will allow you to open the trunk from inside again find something you can use to grab that and pull ! trunk open, then you can work on replacing the key tumbler that sounds like its seized and not allowing you to unlock it, or the linkage its self has come apart or jammed.
