How do I change the headlight on 00 toyota echo?

There is a electrical connector then a rubber boot where the three prongs stick out. I do not see threads or a way to take out bulb.

You gotta twist the whole thing, before you take off the wires from the back of the bulb about 45 degrees, then pull straight out. It's not "screwed in" like a light bulb in your house. I just changed mine, and had to figure it out. Took me a minute, but I got it. It's a small space in there. Good luck!

I need help on how to change a headlight bulb on my 2000 toyota tundra

  • 1 Open the Tundra's hood and locate the back of the headlight assembly inside the engine compartment.
  • 2 Unplug the electrical connector from the assembly and remove the rubber cover from the bulb socket.
  • 3 Release the retaining spring to loosen the old bulb, and then pull it directly out of the socket. Carefully dispose of the bulb to prevent it from cracking or shattering.
  • 4 Align the tabs of the new bulb with the cutouts of the mounting hole. Then, carefully press the bulb into the socket until it's secure.
  • 5 Install the rubber cover in its original position and reattach the electrical connector to the headlight assembly. Make sure the rubber cover is fastened to the socket before continuing.
  • 6 Start your Tundra's engine and test the headlights to make sure they work before closing the hood.

How do i change a head light bulb

open bonnet, goto the broken headlight. take off the connector from the back of the headlight, it has three wires going into it and is a cube type shape - the size of a sugarcube, probably black - pull this off gently by holdding the black connector only, do not pull the wires, wiggle it a little if it feels stuck (you dont need much force). Now there's the rubber seal on the headlight pull off this rubber seal, be careful not to stretch it too much or it could tear, be gentle with this too. Now you see some clip-type things and the connector sticking out of the back of the headlight. the clips have two round bits on the end, this is so you can squeese them together between thumb and forefinger. -------- squeeze both sides of the clips together, then pull them gently away from the headlight, the clips should now be in the unlocked position and hanging down loosely. you can now pull out the broken bulb noting its orientation so you put the new one in the right way round.
then put the clips back, (squeese them together and push them closed against the bulb then stop squeezing and let the clips go into their little notches to lock the bulb back in place. (simpler than it sounds) replace the rubber seal, making sure it sits as straight and flat as it did before, or you will get water in your lights! replace the connector - make sure it is fully home and is a snug fit. switch on and test. DONE!

Headlamp replacement

1. Unplug the three-prong electrical connector.
2. Pull off rubber boot on back of headlamp
3. A spring clip holds the bulb in the assembly. Un-hook one side and swing the clip back.
4. Slide the old bulb straight out.
5.Wearing disposable gloves so that skin oil doesn't get on the new bulb, open the new bulb's package and insert the new bulb straight into the holder, making sure it goes all the way to the front. The middle electrical prong should be up.
6. Swing the retaining spring back and re-clip.
7. Slide the rubber boot back on the rear of the assembly, making sure that the electrical prongs are exposed.
8. Re-connect the three-prong electrical connector.
9. Turn on lights and make sure it works.

How to change the headlight bulb on a 2004 chevy aveo?

Behind the headlight under the hood there is a small rubber disc that keeps water out of the head lamp. Disconnect the 3 prong plastic connector, then pull off the rubber disc. There is a small clip that you can compress with your fingers and swing out. Pull the old bulb out. Be careful you dont touch the new bulb with your fingers as the oils from your skin can cause the bulb to burn out prematurely. Also, be careful not to scratch the bulb. Be sure the bulb spring is holding the bulb securely, Reattach the rubber disc and then reconnect the 3 prong connector. Test it and it should be good.

How to change head lights of hyundai 1.3i

OK> you may or may not want to disconnect the battery and take it out to give yourself more room. Once you have done this a time or two you will find that you can do it without taking the battery out. When you open up the hood and you are facing the car looking into the engine compartment (we will start with the battery side first). Where the headlights are on the front of the car, under the hood is where the bulb is located. You will see an electrical connector going into a black rubber cover. Peel the black rubber cover back and disconnect the electrical connector. Place the rubber cover to the side and on the inside you will see a very unusual looking paper clip contraption that holds the headlight bulb in place. The secret to this is that it is under tension and held in place in a slot at the bottom. All you need to do is press down, and move it sideways a little bit and it will pop out of the slot. When the paper clip contraption has come out of the slot at the bottom, simply lift it up, and the bulb will come right out. Put the new bulb in, slide the end of the paper clip contraption back into the slot in the bottom, place the black rubber cover back over the headlight area making sure the the (3) prongs from the light bulb are sticking out of the middle of the rubber cover, Re-connect the electrical connector, do the other side the same way and when you are done test the lights to ensure that they both work properly.

Changing the headlight in a '02 Mazda tribute

The bulb is actually very easy and straight forward to replace.

If you are replacing one bulb, I suggest doing both at the same time and a twin pack is less than buying two packs seperately.
  • Removal
  1. Holding the connector on the sides squeeze and pull back away from you.
  2. Once the connector is removed, gently pull the rubber boot back.
  3. This will revail a snap type of clip. NOTE bottom of clip does come off. Push each top side of the clips towards you to relase them.
  4. Once the tops of the clip are undone let the clip swing down.
  5. slide the bulb out of the lens.
Caution DO NOT TOUCH THE NEW BULB WITH YOUR BARE HANDS. THE BODY OILS ON YOUR HANDS CAN CAUSE THE BULB TO GET HOT SPOTS AND BURN OUT QUICKLY.
  • Install
  1. To install the new bulb ensure the three keys are properly aligned with the lens when installed.
  2. Install buld into lens.
  3. Place clip over bulb.
  4. Place boot over bulbs making sure it is fully engaged into lens.
  5. Push connector back onto bulb.
  6. Check lights to make sure everything works.
