To access the rear bulbs, open the liftgate and remove the two phillips head screws from the side of the housing. There is no 3rd screw. There is a metal rod with a ball tip which is stuck in a rubber socket on the vehicle.
Slowly and firmly rotate the assembly away from the vehicle until it disengages from the ball pin socket that secures it in back. Rotating it away from the vehicle give you leverage to smoothly disengage the ball from the socket.
Each of the three light sockets, all containing the same exact bulb type, can be removed by turning them counter-clockwise 1/4 turn.
For the brake light open the rear hatch and check beside the tail light. Squeeze the clips on the back of the socket and twist to remove the socket from the lens. Push gently on the bulb and turn carefully to remove light from the socket replace the light and reverse removal procedure to install.
