Replacing door handle on a 2007 Chevy Equinox and wife had turned on child safety lock. Door shut and can not open? How can I open when there is no door handle on it and child safety lock on?

Are you saying the door handle is broken off? Then you must remove the door panel from the inside with the door closed, it is difficult but can be done by most deals with seasoned techs that have done it before.

1989 chevy cavalier - somehow safety door lock engaged and now I can't close the driver door. How do I unlock it?

  1. This is what probably occured
  2. While the door was open the latch on the door was closed
  3. If the spring inside the latch is broken, Working the inner or outer door release handles will not open the latch.
  4. place a screwdriver in the opening of the latch where the door striker would be if the door was closed.
  5. apply pressure to the latch paw while operating door release.
  6. latch should open.
  7. replacement of the latch will keep this from happening again

How do i know if the temp blend door is broke?

Change the temperature of the air and see if the temperature changes. If it doesn't change, then you probably have a bad blend door.
