it just been serviced but did had it replaced with ordinary plugs not original ones

If this problem started right after the service I would think that might be the issue, also make sure the gap on the plug is correct.

should i replace the plugs again or coils?

I would look to the plugs, especially if your problem started right after service and you stated the OEM plug was not used. Heck, you might just make sure that the plug wire is fully installed, a loose plug wire or bad plug wire can cause fits too.

SOURCE: Firefire in cylinder four / random misfires

Its not likley to be an injector fault.the air mass meter is far more common.if you unplug it it defaults to a average value and should improve the way it runs if that is the problem.

hi if the electrical side is ok leaves two options mechanical or fuel so if you can let me know what happened leading up to the car not starting i will be able to point you in the right direction it seems funny you should mention the security system [this does control the fuel pump but what makes you think this may be the problem, yates210456

SOURCE: 1999 VW Passat low idle

replace your fuel filter first. If that does not do it, then try an air-flow meter. (if the check engine light is on it may be an airflow meter.

SOURCE: VW Passat STOP brake fault warning

Check the fluid level in the resevoir. If it is low then top it up. However, it went low for a reason - maybe it's just because your brake pads starting to wear out or you could possibly have a brake fluid leak.

If your in any doubt have a pro check it out.

I need the gap for a 2006 VW Passat 3.6 ngk...ILZKR7A

The vw ngk plugs are pre gapped. If you have a misfire it's more likely either a coil, bad fuel, or a faulty ecm.

Hi. I have a 2004 vw passat 4motion automatic sedan. last night my epc light came on........i experienced a down shift in power but was still able to drive. This morning i was able to start no problem

I would stop using the car

With VW/Audi there may be shops that work
on them, but you need scan tools specific to
that make

Non of my domestic or asian venders even offer that

So your best bet is a VW Dealer, so they can scan the vehicle
for the problem

When the powertrain features effect the transmission, you can
ruin a trans in ten miles of driving So Don't Use It like that

You can Google EPC which I did, but I can not spend a long
time to learn Euro Technology & the fix, when I don't see those
vehicles

We have a friend that has a VW & last Nov 2013 the car spent
5 weeks at a dealer, they had to contact Germany, as they had no
idea how to program an ABS Module, all because a switch that was on the outside for a decade & replaced by the vehicle owners,
was no inside & your done

In the British Isles & other parts of Europe, they take that in stride
& don't get up set or have the issues we have in North America

VW Passat 05. 01-05 shape. When I start it first thing in morning I get blue smoke, covers driveway, but only lasts about 2minutes and no smoke then or while driving. For that two minutes car also shudders...

You have bad valve seals. Blue smoke is oil burning. White is water/coolant, black is to much fuel. If the car runs good after the smoke, then it isn't a head job. I recommend you get a manual. It is exitensive work,, but follow the manual and you can do it.

I have a 2002 VW Passat 1.9TDi 130Tiptronic. Gears stopped

always get a second opinion from an accredited professional a transmission shop that works on your make of vehicle
may be a simple tcm /pcm or other electronic control module
To have the necessity to replace the box , the water would have had to get into the transmission or the mechanical/electronic sections

Hi

If the coolant temperature sensor is of the 4 wire type then these are a common failure on VW's.
