My 97 dodge intrepid 3.5L is running hot.

My 97 dodge intrepid is running hot, the cooling fan will not click on . I replaced the cooling fan motor, and the fan still will not come on. What is the problem?

Check the connection betwteen the temp sensor, located on the block and check your fuses/relays. It may help if you pull and reseat each fuse. This is free and saves a lot of headache swapping out parts.

Most likely a bad fan relay, or a bad temp sensor. Does the fan come on with the A/C? If not, most likely the relay, if so, most likely the temp sensor.

Dodge intrepid fan don't turn on, fuses are OK, and relays close when engine is hot.

check fan out fans have a built in thermal device when they get to hot they shut off you might just replace the motor in the fan but check out relay first much cheaper to replace

I can drive my 1999 dodge intrepid for a while and cant start it

Many vehicles turn on the electric cooling fan if the temperature is high under the hood which prevents hard starting of a hot engine.
If yours never has had the fan run for a minute or two, then it isn't supposed to but if it did it once but now doesn't, the thermal switch that should turn it on has failed.
Try holding the gas pedal to the floor before turning the key; if it starts, then there was too much gasoline in the cylinders causing wet plugs which don't want to fire.

SOUNDS LIKE THE AUXILIARY FAN (THE FAN THAT COMES ON WHEN YOU TURN THE A/C ON) IS NOT WORKING!!

1997 dodge intrepid running hot!

check first if you are loosing water or cooling fluids on your radiator. There may be a leak or the radiator cap may no longer prevent the steam from escaping. check the radiator fans if they are turning. You can check the fan if it is working by removing the temp sensor at the lower radiator hose. The fan should turn on by then.

1997 dodge intrepid heater/ac fuse keeps blowing

I have a 96 Intrepid, and none of the signal lights work. I tried replacing the fuse, but this did not remedy the problem. Could this be a loose connection?
