2001 nissan pathfinder- car wont start

2001 nissan pathfinder-battery working, went to start car-heard click noise ,but car wont start tried several times but -it just makes a click noise-but car wont start!!!

Check tightness of the clamps on battery & make sure the earth cable is tight from battery to engine, also check tightness of nut holding the cable 2 starter motor if all ok there its most probably the solenoid on top of starter motor replace this with new all will b ok.

    Also check to make sure battery is fully charged then failing that alternator may not b charging adust belt may b sliping if not then get recon unit

I replaced the alternator on 2001 Pathfinder with re-built unit from AutoZone. Vehicle still does not get sufficient charge with and now the battery light does NOT turn on anymore.
indicates that the voltage regulator is faulty and not the alternator
as for what you have heard , there is a parts warranty on shop reconditioned units

1997 pathfinder makes clicking noise when battery is connected then horn starts beepbeeping and wont start
Disconnect both battery cables from the battery terminals. Hold ends of battery cables together for 2 minutes. This drains all the residual electricity in the vehicle. Reconnect battery leads to battery. Try starting again.......

FIRST TRY TO SEE IF THE FUSE AND RELAY ARE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. IF THEY CHECK OUT THEN CHECK FOR SPARK AT EACH ONE OF THE SPARK PLUGS. IF YOU ARE GETTING SPARK THEN I WOULD REPLACE THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. THIS DEVICE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OPENING INJECTORS AND SPARK PULSE THROUGH THE COMPUTER. HOPE THIS HELPS.
