Reset gas cant hear the fuel pump its a new one

Are you hearing the pump run when you turn the key to ON? If not, you may need to reset the emergency fuel shutoff button. OR it might be a fuse or relay .
If you hear it run,it should prime right away. don-ohio (:^)

It could be the fuel pump or just the fuel pump relay, try reseting the relay / breaker on the top of the firewall. Also have someone lister at the gas tank with the cap off when you turn on the key and see it they hear the fuel pump come on. Chevy's have loud pumps and are easy to hear. If it doesn't come on, try the reset or you may need a new pump. Sitting on its side could have run it dry and cause it to go bad.

How many miles do you have on it? The fuel pump is in the gas tank, I have a 97 explorer and around 75k miles the fuel pump went out. After talking with other Ford truck owners this was pretty common. Its not a cheap repair unless you are willing to drop the tank yourself.

turn key on and listen for fuel pump in the tank, it should go on for a few seconds then turn off. if you cant hear it try to listen at the fill cap when someone else turns the key on. if you cant hear it , check the safety shutdown relay under hood, it shuts down fuel pump and ignition

pump runs so a fuel pump is needed. get one at any gm dealership and they will show you a photo in their computer were it goes

Start with the fuel cutoff......sometimes they need to be reset. Step 2 would be the the fuel relay.........I doubt that the fuel pump is not working as you said you can hear it engage. Let me know if you need anymore help.

turn on the switch, can you hear the fuel pump run?
if so checke the fuel filter,and also release the pressure at the shredder valve on the fuel rail
if you cant hear the pump run then then check the fuse for it if its good then youve got a bad pump!!!

Can you hear the pump run when you turn the key on? Remember that system is pressurized and will easily spill because of this. There is no reset for fuel pumps, that's on Fords. If you pour gas into the intake it starts, then I would tell you to take a long handled screwdriver or a stetoscope if you have one and place it on one of the fuel injectors and listen when someone cranks the engine. If you don't hear the clicking of the injector while cranking, then your problem is not fuel related. Maybe crank sensor, or even computer. The computer not the module is what controls the fuel injection. The module controls spartk just to let you know. Try getting a trouble code...Hopefully this gets you in the right direction.
