Vehicle sputtering and missing likes its going to die at stops

I have a 2002 Elantra GLS, in the past 2 weeks the car if you stop at a redlight or to just sit and let it idle, it misses and acts almost as if its going to die just like it could be water in the gas or the plugs are fouling out. Could this mean its ready for a new fuel filter or new sparkplugs and wires? I changed the oil and added gas treatment but it still keeps doing it.

It could really be any of those things. Those are normal wear and tear items that would be changed in a tune-up, when's the last time you had one?

When slowing down & stopping 2005 Mazda tribute sputters and dies

Sounds like it could possibly be a vaccume problem, the computer sees that the vaccume has a low pressure and thus fludding the engine, or visa versa, it's seeing too high of a pressure and cutting the fuel comsumption to a minumum enough to make the engine sputter and die.. Does this happen when the cars in Netural or Reverse or Park? Just Drive?
