SOURCE: my check engine light came on it said P2626

This is an O2 sensor failure with the sensor located in the manifold. The associated heater probably failed causing the sensor to fail.

SOURCE: I got 2 codes off the check engine OEM today...

It has two sensors. Bank 1 Sensor 1 is inside the engine bay under the metal heat shield on the front of the engine. Check out NTK sensors online. The one you need will be a 4 wire sensor. The NTK part number is 24588.

SOURCE: i have five codes P2237

P2237 P2196 P2271 P0030 P0171

These are all O2 sensor trouble codes, except P0171 which is a fuel trim code,

You have a bad 02 sensor - up stream - Bank 1 Sensor 1.

Replace it, then road test. The engine computer has a 'default' fuel trim it uses when an O2 sensor fails so it can protect the catalytic converter. If this hasn't been going on too long, good chance simply replacing the O2 sensor will remedy your problem.

2015 Hyundai Sonata LF. Why 'check engine' light on with DTCs P2097 and P2196?

Fuel Air Ratio is incorrect due to failing sensors or broken exhaust. Sensor 1 bank 1 is actually the Fuel/Air Sensors not an O2 sensor. Your is reporting that the ratio is too rich so it is adding less fuel. Whilst this is good for fuel economy, it causes an overheat situation which can damage the piston or burn the valves. I had the same situation in my Lexus, but it was reporting too lean. After the fuel/air sensor was replaced, it reported too lean 100 yards down the road. I cleared that code and all was fine. The engine was burning off carbon die to the rich fuel situation. I recommend this, or a cheap scanner

Does anyone know the location of upstream o2 sensors for a 2010 mazda tribute s, engine v6?

The sensors are not likely to be bad, replace them and the new sensors will keep complaining of the same thing, too rich air to fuel mixture.
What needs to be don is to find out why the engine is running rich. Runs rich on both sides of the V engine, both heads.
Proper diagnosing is needed, can be other trouble codes are there. How does the engine get extra fuel to run rich? Can be due to wrong temperature being sensed, bad sensor or related. Can be the evap purge valve stuck open, something is causing the engine to run rich and the sensors are saying so. Find out what it is thru diagnosing before replacing components at random just because.

P2097 replaced both o2 sensors, light came back on. Tried to trace wires for chafing but quickly go into mass bundle of wires. Connections seem ok but sputters when in gear. What else can I check?

Well four digit codes are brand specific, and can mean different things on different brands.
Generally speaking, 2097 means the O2 sensor after the catalytic converter is reading too rich. If the sensor before the cat is reading correctly, you could have a leaking injector dumping too much fuel into the exhaust or the cat may not be working correctly. There could also be a restriction in intake air flow.
You would really need a scanner to watch the data stream from each sensor to narrow down the possible causes.

P2097 & P0301

Code P2097 has to do with the performance of the down stream, O2 sensor (after the CAT). P0301 refers to a misfire detected on cylinder #1. Testing needs to be performed. Check oil quality and level. Does the car need an oil change. Poor oil quality can affect the VVT system. If I can be anymore help let me know. Please be as specific as possible. Good luck.

My car engine light is on and the problem code p2626

I'm about 99% sure this has to do with a faulty O2 sensor. This sensor is usually located around the header of your car, or down more on your exhaust. Try disconnecting your battery for 30 mins, hook it back up, and start your car again. This will erase the error. See if it comes in again.
