Hi
My cdc in my 2.5 xtype has been working since the day i got it. But all of a sudden the cd changer has stopped working. It has power and does all the functions, you can hear it going through the system of checking for the discs in the magazine etc. but the in car display just keeps saying "NO CD" when the magazine is full !!!

First check the fuse box, which is near the pedals otherwise you have to take out the button and look for wear/uncleanliness of contacts. Use professional contact cleaner.
the most common cause of that prob with xtype diesel is the hose going to the intercooler splits and leaks or the jubilee clip on the intercooler has corroded and broken allowing the hose to blow off not easy to get to to repair
yes it can be done, it has a programmable EPROM, but u need a software package to do it, not sure anyone has this mapped out for this car, do a google search and see what shows up
Hi,
You need to replace the cd changer. This is very common on these vehicles. The best place to get the changer is the dealership. I have seen them fit aftermarket changers in there but can not give any advise on that.
