SOURCE: TROOUBLESHOOTING CODE P0065

Hi, the problem is, your throttle body is restricting the air flow to the engine due to carbon buildup, simply remove the complete throttle body and clean it very good and reinstall, your problem will be solved for sure.

SOURCE: Jaguar S Type 3.0 SE Fault code P0430

Code PO430 could be = catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 2 ........ this may be caused by faults in combustion and if you have just completed repairs it may rectify itself as the car runs correctly ...... do not leave as a fault for too long as damage will occur to cat/conv.

SOURCE: 1989 jaguar xj6 new engine or new cylinder???

At that price replace the engine. Make sure though that you get a warranty for the engine that includes the cost of installation if the new one fails. Most shops will warranty for 90 days which is long enough to find out if there is going to be a problem.

SOURCE: 201 jaguar s-type 4.0 engine

I had the same problem on my 2000 Jaguar S Type 6 cylinder. Finally I changed out all 6 colis (bought them at $250 for 6 on-line). Biggest problem is installing them. The 3 cylinders on the driver's side are easy to do, as they are fitted under the plastic cover. The other 3 cylinders on the passengers side are a problem. You have to remove the exhaust manufold, which is not all that easy. I believe I had to remove about 12 to 14 bolts, many clips and clamps, but finally the car is purring like new again. (PS the exhaust manufold is that big silver / aluminum unit sitting on top of the engine, extending towards the passeger's side of the engine.

SOURCE: where is #2 cylinder on 2000 jaguar s type 4.0

I recently starting having this problem also (only code p0305/308). That code means "miss-fire" on #2 cylinder. The #2 cylinder is the nearest cylinder on the right (closest to front of car on drivers side) if you are standing in the front of the car.

1997 Nissan Quest Van. Where is the crankshaft sensor location please?

Question edited for clarity and the typos - Nissian, cyclinder, vam, and PO 304 is P-zero not P-letter Oh..
Question moved to model category

What makes you think it is the Crankshaft Sensor? This is a simple misfire on Cylinder 4. Check plug, leads and coil. Run some Injector cleaner.

The P0304 code stands for "Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected", which means your vehicle's cylinder 4 has misfired enough times for your powertrain control module (PCM) to notice. A worn spark plug, a faulty fuel injector, and a leaking valve are some possible causes of the P0304 code.

Causes of p0300, p0302, p0304, p0306 in 2000 toyota avalon

P0300 = Random/multiple cylinder(s) - misfire detected.
P0302 = Cylinder 2 - misfire detected.
P0304 = Cylinder 4 - misfire detected.
P0306 = Cylinder 6 - misfire detected.

A misfire can be caused by a few things. The most common causes are usually spark supply or fuel supply. Get BOTH of these checked.
All the misfires are on the same side of the engine so I would suspect a fuel rail or an injector issue on that side of the engine.

Jaguar s type 2.5 misfire on all 6 cylinders

A random miss ( code 300 ) means the cylinders are not producing normal power, but may not yet be a dead miss.
Sounds like a fuel problem, which may also be connected to the O2 sensor problem.

Misfire can be caused by worn out spark plugs, bad ignition wiring, sticking fuel injectors, anything that prevents the cylinders from firing correctly. Good luck!

My 2000 Jaguar S Type has the check engine light on, it flashes when I drive on the highway, and when I shut the car off it takes a long time to cool down. Also I put antifreeze in the car yesterday and...

O.K. from what you just described- Miss fire on #6 and loss of coolant(it does not just disaper) I'am afraid that these two items are most likely related, along with the fact that it took along time to cool down. It sounds like the coolant is being lost thru#6 cyl thus causing the misfire and the overheating- which turns the light on. Sorry but i am afraid that you may just be spending a lot of $$ Take it to a mechanic and get a second oppinion first.
