Towing capacity depends upon trailer design and actual tongue weight of the trailer and load. It also depends upon the condition of your rear suspension, engine size, the condition of your cooling system and if you have an add-on transmission cooler. (for automatics). Last, capacity is also determined by the hitch rating. Generally speaking, you should be able to pull around 5,000 lbs without problems.
If towing long distances or up steep grades it is wise to change the transmission and differential fluid before towing and service those more frequently than normal.

Unless you have the 6.0 ltr motor and towing package the maximum should be about 7,500 lbs. This will be less if you have the small V8 or 6cyl motor It all depends on the motor and towing package. The 6.0ltr will give you above 10,000lbs towing capability, if your truck is set up for this. I don't think you can get the 6.0 in a half ton model though, it must be 3/4 to one ton models.

Maybe springs, just make sure that when you put a load in the trailer that you put the weight over the trailer tire's to equal the weight and not put the load on the bumper.

Best way to charge / safest / is to remove battery from vehicle ...set battery in a open well venilated area / no smoking / with the apporpiate capacity 12 volt charger / read the instructions that come with the charger . Attach red connector of charger to positive post of battery (usually red) attach black connector to battery ground (-) negative side of battery / plug charger into appropiate outlet (120) . Reverese application when battery is fully charged .
Re-install battery in vehicle/ being sure to re-install as removed .
Install black cable to battery (-) negative ...then Hot (red) (+)

they don't all come with the towing package, it is an option!

First,
Did they change the coolant temp sensor?
The one that sends the engine temp to the computer,not the one for the dash temp gauge.
Next,
If the engine has a leaky fuel injector it will start great cold but have trouble starting when hot unless you let it sit for awhile to evaporate the leaked fuel which would be around 2 hours.
Try holding the throttle wide open when it fails to start when hot,if that helps start it quicker then it is most likely a leaking injector.
Also when/if it starts hot look for black smoke from the exhaust as it starts

Most smaller cars can tow between 500 and 600kgs unbraked and usually 1000kgs if braked. (trailer has brakes)
