How to add power steering fluid
The 2010 v6 has a power steering dip stick below the engine cover. Take off the oil cap, grab the plastic engine cover on each side and lift it off (it snaps off and on). Put the oil cap back on so you don\'t lose it. You will see the power steering dipstick at the top of the engine. This only applies to the v6. Mine was loud, and I added a bit of fluid and it was fine.
Open your bonnet when engine is cold. The power steering is connected by the pulley system so is located near the front of the engine, turn the cap counter clockwise to unscrew (it May be a bayonet fitting so only turn a quarter or so turn) on the power steering pump. There will be a full level indicator on the vessel or a dip stick attached to the cap. Use a funnel if you need to, fill to the required level.
If you need to keep topping up fluid get it checked by a mechanic
The 2010 3.2 V6 most certainly DOES have power steering fluid. This model has hydraulic rack-n-pinyon steering. The power steering reservoir is located under the engine cover, top left hand side.

You do not add any. If the steering system is leaking, you repair the problem. It is a sealed system other than a removable fill cap. It does not use fluid in the sense you ever loose any

first and it's sort of obvious... make sure the motor is off.... look for a cap at the front of the motor where the fan belt is... may even be labled power steering ... you add the fluid there

if this car has the 3800 or 3.8 ltr its on the passenger side towards the fire wall, the fill sits low in the back ,behind the engine, you might need a transmission funnel so you dont spill the p/s fluid all over the back of the engine, hope this helps
SOURCE: where do you add power steering fluid?
The HHR does not use power steering fluid. The power steering is strictly an electric motor attached to the steering column under the dash. If you are having problems, you may need to have the motor replaced.
However, before you do, check the following fuses:
Underhood fuse #1 - 60A
Inside console fuse #19 - 2A
Either with kill the steering and may have been blown if you (or an uninformed mechanic) have jumped the car incorrectly.
