The car radio will at times shut off on its own, or we'll start hearing this weird siren type sound through the music playing or what happens most is this extremely loud static sound that starts with a loud "pock" sound that feels like a rock hit the windsheild! What the hell is all that about???

Sounds like a fuse for the DC-DC convertor to battery circut or the DC-DC convertor. Check the fuses under the hood but DO NOT attempt to fix the convertor yourself because there are LETHAL amouts of voltage in the hybrid drive system.
SOURCE: TURN ON THE REAR DEFROST AND THE RADIO GOES TO
The radio antenna is shared by the rear defroster, there is a part called the "Antenna Amplifier-Rear Window Defogger Coil", it is behind the left side rear pillar trim. It prevents the static from happening.

correct, may be a bad starter, start there. test for power at small wire at rear of starter if theres power when key is held in crank position then replace the starter also make sure battery connectoins are clean and thight, good luck hope this helps.
If it is a factory security system there is no unlock code. They either need to get a new battey or a jump, they can unlock the car with the key.
When they jump it if the horn starts to honk they can lock and unlock the drivers door with the key to turn the alarm off.
When they do get going the radio will be displaying code. If they do not have the code with them I may be able to help if Honda's site is up for codes today. Here is how they can get the serial number needed from the radio assuming it does not have navigation:
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.
