Ok ran fine last night, brand new batt(2 months). Brand new plugs(2months) tried jump. nothing! getting only a when i try to start and a click that seams to come from a relay on the drivers side screwed to the inside of the engin wall of the car. what is that relay? Could that be it?
Thanks, so if its an auto not a manual? Or just take it off and bring it in and replace it? How much are they? Would it be better just to get one from a wrecker or new. Thanks, so if its an auto not a manual? Or just take it off and bring it in and replace it? How much are they? That relay you are talking about is your starter solenoid. If your car is a manual, put it in neutral with teh ebrake on. Turn the key to the on position. Take a screwdriver and jump the 2 bigger posts. If your starter engages, then your solenoid is shot. They are pretty cheap and easy to fix. Keep the Dodge's alive!! PLease rate!
oh, if it is an automatic...just do the same thing. I only said neiutral and ebrak so the car didn't take off if it was in gear...they are only about $15-20.oh, if it is an automatic...just do the same thing. are the inside of the battery terms dirty, corroided? do you know if motor alt is charging batt? how long did it run when you put new batt in? if it lasted about two days, its proubly not charging, also make sure nothing is being left on draining batt down, to check that, leave batt nuhooked pos side over night.
try jumping if it jumps or you get power from a jump its your battery it can die over night this is common runs good one day then will not do it the next i would start there first if it turns over after a jump that is your problem.Replace the battery most batteries only last up to 18months
Did you check the timing belt to see if it broke? It ha a 2.5 and it has belt. Remove timing cover at the front of the engine and have someone crank it while you watch the cam to see if it turns. If it doesn't turn, replace the belt.
