The caps are generally different sizes, the recharge hose from the can, will only snap on to the correct one.

The low-pressure service access gauge port valve is located on the evaporator to accumulator/drier suction line near the dash panel at the A/C evaporator core outlet tube.

Hi, the low pressure port is along the line that goes from the firewall to the compressor. It may be on the dryer, if there is a dryer on that line. The port usually has a black cap screwed onto it. I will look for a picture. Do you have the 3.0 engine?

Your A/C system will have two service ports, there isn't any "recharge" ports. You add refrigerant to the LOW side only. Prior to adding any refrigerant, you need to check the system pressures with a manifold gauge set. If the system has enough charge and there is another issue, adding refrigerant can make for worse problems. Automotive A/C is best left to the right person with the proper equipment to service them. If you follow the lines from the compressor, the LOW side will be the smaller diameter of the two service ports.

The low side port is located near the firewall at the back of the engine compartment near the right strut tower. It has a black plastic cover similar to a tire valve. Do not connect to the high pressure side which on my vehicle is located towards the front of the right side near the radiator. You will need R-134a and a connector kit. mcdevito75 here, I have a 96" and yes you can charge the A/C yourself and you can use the 134A, the Charge port is on 1 of the metal lines comming out the firewall mine is on the metal line just about 6--7 inches from the firewall, the kit you buy for recharge will only fit this low side port, also follow the cans directions very carefully. there may be a screw down cap on this port simply unscrew this cap, port will look similar to the air valve on your tires.

I am not sure I thought some of them were on the back of the compressor which makes it hard to see . but one thing for sure follow the low press line towards the evap and you will find it

The evaporator to accumulator/drier suction line contains low pressure refrigerant gas and is equipped with a serviceable low pressure A/C charge valve port.

go to auto zone and buy a 134 recharge kit follow the directions on the box, you will need to find to LOW side service port there are two ports with plastic caps on the ac lines you are looking for the one that is attached to a larger diameter ac line. the kit will ONLY FIT ON THIS FITTING so you dont have to worry, there is a label under the hood somewhere thats green and says how much 134a you should install be carefull wear safety googles and good luck, please rate -jeff
