What causes check engine light to come on GS 350 2007

africa, is it the VSE LIGHT only or is it with Engine light as well? iF SO you will have to get OBED code to know what the cause is.

A transmission can cause a engine to stall BUT only if the torque
converter has failed in a particular way other than that can't think of any way Hope this helps

Try disconnecting battery negitive battery terminal for 1min 30secs with ignition in the on position.If this fails to work a code reader is required to reset computer.... hope this helps!!

Check your oil. If it is milky/tannish, then all signs point to the possibility of a cracked engine block. I hope not. That would mean a new or rebuilt engine and probably a few thousand$$$. Hope it's something else, friend.

I don't think changing your alternator caused the check engine light to come on, but you need to have your car scanned to see what did trip the check engine light. There are hundreds of reasons for it, and a good thing to try is to go to a local auto parts store, such as Autozone, and have them scan your car's code for free. They will tell you what the code is, and what possibly caused it, if possible. That way you can be better educated as to what needs fixed!

vsc shuts down any time check engine light comes on. repair engine light problem, reset computer monitoring system and vsc light will go off. must scan computer to pull codes for check engine light and go from there.

get your engine computer scanned and post the code or google it, you will find your problem. Since its a 1994, I am not sure who will scan it, but I would start with the Lexus dealer.

You need to get a diagnostic check done. Could be a O2 sensor or anything else that would cause your check engine light to come on.
