SOURCE: The heater is blowing cold but the engine temperature reads high

Hi
I would first check to see if both heater hoses are hot to the heater.
if 1 is hot and 1 is cold the heater control valve is closed or the heater core is plugged.

SOURCE: 2001 dodge stratus engine temperature gauge spikes occasionally

Look for a loose connection to the temperature sender unit on the motor.
If all connections OK, you may need a new temp sender unit.

SOURCE: 2006 HHR, check engine light came on, the engine

Your coolant temp sensor is not registering. It probably set a trouble code, that's why your remote vehicle start is not working. The temp sensor is located at the rear corner of the engine block on the back side of the engine. This will be the corner of the engine closest to the driver. The temp sensor may be faulty, unlugged or there could be problem in the circuit. Even if you find the sensor unplugged and you plug it in, the code will have to be cleared before the remote vehicle start works again.

SOURCE: gas gauge malfunction and engine light stays on

This is a common problem with Malibu's. It is due to cheap metal in the fuel gage that corrodes. Chevrolet knows about this but they refuse to issue a fix. The check engine light staying on and the faulty fuel gage are related. This is a defect and they need to recall this part! Raise hell with the dealership!

2006 f150- temperature gauge stays cold but "check gauges" flashes in mini message center.

Since the temp gauge is not working correctly, you get the warning message.
Could be a faulty temp sensor or a problem in the wiring harness.

Heater isnt blowing warm air in 2003 grand caravan

Assuming the radiator is full of coolant, you are describing a faulty thermostat. The thermostat is closed when the engine is cold to restrict coolant flow until it warms up.

Heater donot get hot whil running

It could be a plugged heater core or heater control problem. I assume the blower is working, but the air is cold. The first thing to check is the coolant level, make sure there is coolant in the resivoir. Next see if the temerature gauge reaches the normal operating temperature range. If the gauge reads cold most of the time, it would tell you that the thermsotat is faulty and not allowing the engine to reach full operating temperature. If your car doesn't have a temp gauge, the blue cold engine light might stay on for an extended period of time. The thermostat is supposed to not allow coolant flow in the radiator until the engine reaches operating temperature. If you drive the car for a couple of minutes, from cold start, the radiator or upper hose should be cool until the engine reaches operating temp.

It doesn't get warm or hot at all. and when or if it does get warm it takes FOREVER.

I assume you are talking about your engine temperature gauge reading? I had a problem with my 1996 Caravan thermostat (V6 3L). It can get stuck wide open and never allow the engine to operate at the specified temperature. On my vehicle, the thermostat has a metal tab that would prop the valve wide open if it failed. I think the thought of the designer was better to be stuck open than full closed I guess. Anyway, my vehicle temperature would never reach normal range with it stuck open. For my vehicle it is 195 F. This time of year, it would take a very long time before your engine would reach normal running temperature. The interior heater would also take a long time since the engine is also cooler. If your vehicle is newer it can also cause the engine check light to come on because this would affect the emission control systems and keep your engine in a cold engine mode loop...

Not knowing a lot of details of your situation, I would check:

The gauge is working correctly and plugged into the temp sender near the thermostat.

You have the correct fluid level (Please be careful checking this)

Your heater core and engine radiator not clogged with sediment

Flush out your radiator and heater core

Replace your engine thermostat with the specified temperature range your vehicle requires (parts store tech can help you obtain the correct one)

Good Luck.

Temperature gauge is fluctuating while driving.

I'm thinking the coolnat level is low, and this might be caused by a bad head gasket - At least $800 to fix - sorry.
