Air quits working as well as radio and windows

Could it be the alternator and will this be expensive

Your problem is stemming from a Power getting to somewhere it does not belong. A bad alternator would not normally cause this

SOURCE: Instrument Cluster lights do not go on, emergency lights steady- Sable 2002

Has anyone figured this problem out? Our 2002 Sable just started this as well...instrument cluster lights out, turn/hazard lights on when the headlight switch is turned on. This has the auto on/off switch with fog lights. This is happening in the auto and manual on mode. Any solutions would be appreciated.<br />

2003 trailblazer brakes quit working and brake light and abs light come onm when you turn car off and turn back on lights go off and brakes reset and work. Do you know what would cause this problem

Do you mean they are spongy or they quit altogether? If spongy, you probably have very low fluid in the reservoir and you are pumping air into the system (fill the reservoir and try again - however, may need a brake bleed, which is tricky with ABS systems). If the ABS is failing, you should see error codes (using a good code reader that will read the ABS ones). Lastly, your brake master cylinder may need to be replaced.

I have a 2001 Mecury Sable and today when i started it the check engine light came on and it was shaking real bad. I pull off and its acting like it doesn't really want to move. What might this problem...

There are many possibilities. If you can get to an Autozone, Advance autoparts, or Oreilys store they will scan it for free. Once you have a Code number you can get parts for it or shop around for your best price on repairs.

Check your oil level, and water in case that is the cause for the repair light. Make sure you are seeing the check engine light and not an ABS or Brake warning. Shaking with the ABS or Brake light would mean the car should not be driven before inspecting.

Power door locks and windows stopped working. also, wipers and automatic lights do not work. airbag light is also flashing. all the fuses are good. Help!

take the drivers front wheel off and take the splash shield down. towards the upper rear of the wheel well there is a bunch of wires running through a plastic run that double back at the end of it. wires tend to rub through at that switch back and cause a lot of the key-on accessories to stop working. this problem is common on 97 to 02 Taurus/Sable vehicles.

Hi, Same problem - with my Hyundai Getz. Thought I'd pummelled the horn too much. However, I'm told that it might be the alternator. Battery completely died and couldn't be charged - AA man cleaned around the alternator ready for new battery, which seemed to work - advised to get new alternator. Didn't! Battery died again few weeks later, but still some power so that I can jump start the car - all lights on! ABS, airbag, brake - you name it! Also, car is brakig itself when driving - this only occurs when all lights are on. Lights eventually go off, and car resumes back to normal driving again - no more bunny hoping a it brakes, and no more smell of rubber. Have read that low power can be a problem for airbag light, and so checking battery, and alternator is a must. My alternator is now being ordered. Hope this helps. If it was anything else let me know.

Seat belt, ABS and radio issues

chances are the seatbelt is jammed and has to be replaced either with a new factory part or a used one. 2nd you probably heated the sending unit for the abs on the wheel and as a result it has thrown the code. 3rd if you have a cd changer it will either be located in the trunk or it will be loocated in the dash console. Note: if you have the abs sending unit replaced you still will need to clear the code so the light goes out.
