Cant find memory wire that runs from dash to the cd player

The way i have my cd player hooked up it works fine and saves my settings but i have to manually cut the cd player on and off. and the way im doing this is hooking my 12v memory to my battery that's the reason it won't cut on and off withe the car. Ok if i hook it up like it is supposed to be it cuts on and off with the car but i have to reset all my speaker settings ect. so i don't think the stock 12v is yellow.

SOURCE: My problem sounds similar to the one you had.

TJ. I have been through probably every type of problem you can have with my security system on my 2002. From what it sounds like to me in your situation is this. What happens over time is if you or the previous owner has many keys on there key ring it pulls the ignition key downward and over time it wears out the tumblers in the ignition switch witch if not lined up correctly after the key has been entered into the switch the security system will automatically take over and it will not start. I had the auto start removed even thoe it was not the problem. Who ever wired it in should have been slapped. Another possibility is that the car is not reading the chip in the key properly, prompting the security system to kick in. I hope this helps. Its very frustrating to sit in your work parking lot after everyone else go's home. Good luck, let me know how it comes out.

SOURCE: 1989 cadillac seville!!! cooling fan fault ???

I have one of these cars that had that problem. I fixed mine with a new fan control module. The fan wires can be hooked up backwards to the module when you replace it too. I have a service manual on this car and can answer most questions as I have helped a lot of people with this year model. I will look at which fan should be pluged into where later. You should never straight wire a cooling fan as this will result in other problems because the engine will not come up to normal temperature resulting in poor fuel mileage. This could result in a exhaust converter and o2 sensor failure due to a rich fuel mixture. Reply and I will get back to you asap.

SOURCE: if you try to start

These cars are notorious for failed ignition switches (tumbler) . Your lucky that the key still turns because they usually fail when your far from home. What happens is you can"t cycle the key. Sometimes they get stuck and you can't remove the key. Usually always when you have a security issue its a little wire internally to the tumbler that breaks. You should have a code to indicate this if the security light is on

I have 2002 gmc envoy and im trying to hook up cd dvd and red to red and yellow to yellow dont work but does work when they both touch but non of dash light does not go out

GMC products are famous for this problem, it's a built-in feature to keep fuses from blowing. The red wire must be connected to a totally seperate and fused wire. Might try running a wire from an empty fuse slot in the dash panel and make sure you put an in-line fuse link. They are fairly cheap and will save you huge costs or danger to yourself. Run the yellow wire to the yellow as normal.

I have a jvc cd player in my s40. and now it stopped working. getting 12 volts in red wire but only 2.4 in yellow. anyone know why

Corrosion/broken wires in the wiring. Yellow is B+, power all the time. I would just run another wire for it. I tend to run it to a B+ in the fuse panel. But you can run it all the way to the battery if you want. There are many wires under the dash to cut into. Ignition or fuse panel are the best to use. Stay away from really small wires, they can be for computers. I just use under dash b+ wires to save some one down the road headaches.

I have a honda odyssey 2001 the light of the panel are not workinkg all the rest of the lights are working i check the fuse and are ok only i did was change the radio and install a new one but did not...

I'm guessing you're talking about the dash light aound the radio. The dash lights around the radio share the same fuse with all the other lights that come on when you turn the parking light on. If the other light are working then your fuses are fine. What i think might have happen was when you took the dash cover off, the bulbs behind it might had burn out. You might want to try new bulbs.

good luck

I hooked up a new cd player in my blazer and it

I'm thinking you might have unplugged the switch for the 4 wheel drive switch mounted on the surround for the stereo, when you installed the CD player, or maybe broke something asscociated with that switch.

My 93 Boneville CD Player does not work, the radio works fine but it will not play CD's, also how would i install a set of speakers (subwoofers)

the cd player is bad and you can hook up subs through a rca hook up that you can hook to your speaker wires in the trunk the adapter is like 20 bucks at radio shack or local sound installer or buy an after market cd player cause yours will never work again and run rca's off the back of the radio to your trunk
